Hi Guys, I am seeing a heavy data usage on my Jio fiber yesterday. After 4 pm yesterday around 800+ GB data has been consumed which I have not used. I generally use 20 gb per day only. When I reported this to jio they said you have only used it. But I have not used it. Is there any way to check this how this data got consumed?

@LIMBO I forgot the windows application you told me which gives detailed breakup of data usage application-wise (@161508 account)

If we have any app like this then it would be useful for me to track down. Let me know the app name.

there is still a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) capped at 3,333GB post which it will reduce speeds to 1,024Kbps

Got it.
3.3 TB hushed
OP, just change your password or else block unwanted devices in your settings option.

Done everything but after that also 31 GB consumed right after that. Whole day till 8.24 I consumed 10 gb and between 8.24 to 8.47 pm suddenly again 31 gb got consumed. If this keeps happing my 3300 gb will get consumed in a week.

Looks like some device is downloading some unwanted data.
Please recheck the same with all your linked devices.

This is simple to deal with if you have Dlink or similar router. Haven’t used Jio so no idea if it allows such connection.

What you do is, allow only 2-3 known MAC addresses of laptops and phones to connect with your router.
Then on devices you know won’t be consuming high speed data e.g. parent’s phone, limit upload, download bandwidth to 5mbps
See if it makes a difference.
If not, apply the same limit to remaining devices temporarily for a day or so and check again if consumption is low

I had installed some software to check something on cloud related to my work – if you work on Microsoft Azure then you will understand better that I installed Microsoft hosted integration runtime on my laptop and there was a process inside that diahost.exe it consumed 800 gb data as per the data usage I saw on my laptop. I just uninstalled it.

Networx stopped being free after v5.5.4. Now it has only 30 days free trial. This version might still work with latest win 10 but expect some issues & don’t enable/install its lan traffic monitoring driver as that will most likely cause some major issues as the driver version shipped with 5.5.4 is really outdated now.
