Help! Croma didn't deliver A.C but marked as delivered

Hi, 

I ordered a Voltas A.C from Croma for around 30k, using Hdfc cc. There was some work in house so asked the delivery boy to reschedule it to next week, but instead of that my order was marked as delivered, without any otp for delivery confirmation as well. By the time A.C was to be delivered, my return/ exchange window was almost over so asked the delivery boy to cancel this order so i could place a new one. 

Now even after rejecting the delivery my order status has still not updated to cancelled and showing as delivered. I raised a ticket with Croma customer care but they closed it saying item was delivered so now i am stuck and dont know how i am going to get my refund. 

Any help/ ideas will be highly appreciated, tia

It has been over 10-11 days and you have not even reached out to some relevant departments of the Ministry of consumer affairs (Ministry of consumer affairs, food and public distribution) or the consumer grievances redressal forums or even docketed this issue with Centralised Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS)?

If yes, then: strange!
                                    [Or I am a slum-dweller who does not realise that for some people ₹30000-₹40000 is just like ₹1 is to me.]

First raise chargeback with evidence.

Second Consumer forum with correspondence with DA or any relevant proof and ask for POD from CROMA, how come 30-40k item delivered without OTP or signature? 

Carrier?

This, chargeback the amount. Ask for signature of delivery. If they show you and don't do the needful.

Next file a fir of  signature forgery in police station against that boy and make croma as the party.too.

Update: after reading some of the horrible experiences, i came to conclusion that its better to sacrifice the return/ exchange window and take chances with the service center ( if required) instead of running after Croma for refund, so asked the delivery boy to deliver the A.C.

One more thing, is it mandatory to wait for the authorised technician for installation or i can get it done from some one local? Will there be any problem to claim warranty in future if the A.C is installed by a local mechanic?

Better to get it installed from authorised technician. 

There might be problems during warranty claim, so don't take risk.

In Mumbai deliveries typically happen from one Croma showroom or the other. It is easy just to walk into one of them and talk to them.

First raise a charge back in your CC and next step would be call / email them regarding the current status of product not being delivered with all proof like bills, payment, SMS and call recording with the delivery boy to the croma team and ask them to initiate the refund process and also tag the bank as well in this conversations, if not happening escalate to the consumer form, lodge a complaint in consumer court

croma bohat mad**d hai.Mere bhi refund abhi tak nahi aaya its been around 2 yrs its a powerbank which they marked as delivered

This is usual practice by croma especially if you order any big application. My ac was also marked as delivered but was delivered 2 days after I received the delivery sms.

I think you don't have many options except these two-

1. Ask the delivery person to deliver the ac.

2. Email the croma team stating that you have not received the ac  till now and you want the refund of the AC since it isn't delivered till now.

Depending on their response you can escalate the matter including to the consumer forum.

This was the first time i purchased a big item from Croma, so i didn't know, but how can they mark the item as delivered without even otp confirmation ?

Once it's marked delivered means delivered.

How can they issue refund for delivered product..

Your only hope is those conversions which you had with delivery guy and preserve all proofs. Once these proofs are submitted to them, delivery guy may say the truth

Where do i submit the proof ? Their escalation mechanism doesn't seem to be as robust as say Amazon's
