[Help] SBI SimplyClick Credit Card Application Denied - How? Why?

I applied for SBI SimplyClick CC via internet banking and they've rejected my application for such a basic CC without giving any information in detail.

I currently hold Ola Money CC (LTF, 1.1L credit limit) and Cashback CC (2L credit limit) from SBI.

Is there a possibility that SBI Cards don't issue more than 2 cards? I highly doubt this though as I haven't seen any post related to it.

Shouldn't they give a proper reason for application rejection according to RBI's guidelines issued with respect to CC application rejection and providing proper reason.

Will this have a CIBIL hard enquiry?

I'm still in shock how and why did they reject my application for the most basic CC available. WTF is wrong with SBI ??

omg

whats your limit? on the existing SBI cards?

SBI don't' have card limit, initially you can get max 3 by applying directly and for more number of cards based on your usages you can get 4 or 5 and more as well by "SBI cards" with offer contacting you directly later kinda thing, but ya more than 3 is possible in SBI if you have good usages of your existing cards

Ola Money - 1.1 lakhs
Cashback - 2 lakhs

I've decent limits on both the cards as per SBI standards.

Also they need your existing card limit free inorder to issue new cards, for example if you used all your limit quota in your existing SBI cards they will reject (siting internal policies)

because they need some free limit in your current cards to approve a new card

side note: for SBI SimplySAVE to SBI Pulse conversion (sbi calling it as swapping) they need 40k limit free in your current limit or else they wont (is what i heard from another dimer here)

so for new cards they obviously need more limit free on your current cards

so what is your max limit now ? and what is your free limit now in your existiing cards?

I've abundant credit limit free on both the cards. The only thing I can fear is, applying in non-banking hours maybe for getting application rejected and if that's the case, to hell with Digital India, what's with PSU banks not operating as expected in non-banking hours.

Recently Ola Money announced on 1st April, 2024 that they're going to move to Small PPI wallet and they gave an option to either migrate to it or close the wallet altogether.

I didn't act upon it in time and my wallet stands suspended as of now. Some reward points are yet to be credited since the wallet is suspended. I emailed Ola Money long time ago to move it to Small PPI but they haven't done anything yet.

They credit reward points in Ola Money wallet which is the most useless one out of all currently active in the market. For transaction done in September 2023, they've charged cashback forfeit in statement in the month of May 2024. SBI Cards is pure bullshit but wanted to have the most basic and must have CC as it rewards with Rs. 2k worth Cleartrip voucher on completion of Rs. 1 lakh milestone and also waives off annual fee as well.

I'm not sure if I can spend Rs. 1 lakh on this CC or not but Ola Money CC is definitely very frustrating for sure.

Recent most was Cashback CC which is around 1.5+ years old.

In the past 6 months, there have been only 2 enquiries, including enquiry for this SimplyClick CC, it's 3 enquiries in CIBIL.

-u will get nay reason beside "internal assesment" so better not ask for reason

-just apply and apply again

-try alternatively like offline and thru some third party website

My case is extremely different, holding cashback card with 1.65l credit limit. Trying more than  year. They rejected more than 3 times. I tried just simply click. No luck. But surprisingly I got email bombed on Dec with 3-4 pdfs as I have applied for Aditya Birla, air Asia, one more card forget. Now they were strictly not allowing anything. Not to know how to get one more with them

I'm actually laughing at that SBI Ad which was shown during IPL ... "pata hai mera bank kaun hai"

Le me, highly disappointed with the same bank, feeling like narrating this on Twitter "pata hai mera bank kaun hai" 😒

I get it SBI Cards is a separate entity but is eventually part of SBI only
