For me the update installed automatically without any prompt. Didn’t even ask for a restart. The phone was idle for a few hours and when i picked it up to check a message, it was on the update completed screen with the change log

Yes it updates phone with auto restart
Now phone works butter smooth
Seeing notifications is a pain. We have to click on it to see the sender and content. Earlier it was available for a quick glance.

It make phone slow thn oreo, message not generalise anymore, yes you get 2 gb free space with android pie but you have to compromise with speed on 7x

i have indian version honor 7x 4gb/32gb
i did not install any custom rom or any firmware till now…but yes i did ota update which is official and i was on the latest version update which provided by honor through ota.
Now my problem is today i found my phone is stuck to starting screen which showing
HONOR and powered by android at the bottom of screen
my phn showing this screen continuously whenever i start my phone
i also try to go into recovery mode so i can do factory rest…but i tried many time by pressing power + vol up button but i did not get recovery screen even once….please help me how to recover my phone is any thing i am doing wrong ??
