Horrible Experience in opening Axis Bank Digital Prime Full Power Digital Account

PLEASE DO NOT OPEN THIS KIND OR ANY KIND OF ACCOUNT WITH AXIS, THESE GUYS ARE LAZY, FRAUD, HAVE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PATHETIC, JUST PATHETIC SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN WITH A BANK. EVEN POST OFFICE ACCOUNT WHICH IS CONSIDERED THE WORTH IN INDIA IS BETTER THAN PRIVATE AXIS BANK.

Alright, Now I’ll explain in normal (no caps) language.

So I opened an Axis bank account online. I checked my options and there were many accounts, I didn’t wanted to visit the branch so wanted to open a digital account. I was given 3 options :

Easy Access Full Power Digital Account. 25k min bal with limited free atm trxns
Prime Full Power Digital Account. 25k min bal with unlimited atm trxns
ASAP Account.

I found prime option the best as I use atm trxns many times usually. On 10th Aug I did this. I was asked personal details, income details, aadhar OTP etc, I did that. Then I was asked to fund the account. I was given 3 options, Card (credit or debit), netbanking or UPI. I tried with credit card 2 times, but I knew they won’t allow 25k+590(for card issuance) with a credit card even though no where it was mentioned that I can’t use card, so I tried with netbanking and was given many banks options. I selected ICICI and got payment debited. Proof : https://prnt.sc/...r2 , next Video call KYC where I was asked PAN and I showed them , took 2-3 mins and done! I did that on a laptop, I was shown payment confirmation success and Video KYC success screen and then was shown digital card VISA and was asked to make a PIN which I did. VKYC guy said I’ll get my physical card in 5-7 business days with welcome kit. I got an email aswell that my account is open. Everything smooth till now.

Now the problems.

Upon done everything I tried registering with online netbanking, it asked CID or Phone no, i tried with Phone no and it said axis bank can’t find my phone number linked with any account, so I tried with CID and card details, I was asked to make a password and then OTP, Problem – I am not getting SMS OTP, so I was given another option to for on call OTP, but still no calls with OTP. I waited and then called CC , I was told to make a TPIN and for that they will send me OTP, which I received perfectly fine and made TPIN. And told CC that I can’t register for netbanking. They said account is open just now so wait, I said I was told this is digital instant account but nothing instant about it. They said wait. I went to make a trxn in paytm for 10 rs but in OTP page it said my phone no is not registered with axis bank for Verified by visa trxn. I called axis again for this and they registered the complain and within 1 day i could get otp for debit card but this time payment failed for non-sufficient funds. i called axis again and they said you have 0 balance. I said I made payment for 25,590 and they said wait for 2-3 days. Anywyas, I called on wednesday they registered 3 complaints

1. Amount not credited.
2. Card not dispatched.
3. OTP for netbanking not received.

On friday I called again and they gave lame excuses again and also said to visit branch. Seriously? Visit branch for a digital account, doesn’t that defeats the purpose for a digital account? Anywyas, branch guys took complain and said my phone no will be registered till 12PM monday. I got confirmation at 2pm that my phone no. is registered. So i tried registering for netbanking but same thing, not getting otp. I called CC and called axis branch lady, and they said they have to register my no with netbanking department, what???? So much for digital account.

Anyways, fast forward, no complaints solved, not able to access the account and more over no card and no amount is there in my account. This account type can’t even be opened btw without funding it first. KYC won’t proceed without funding. They haven’t credited my account. They haven’t registered my no. and they haven’t sent the card (giving BS reason for Covid and said to wait for 15 days- really? 15?)

I suggest to stay away from opening savings bank with this BS Lazy F**** Banks. I remember the old days when visiting the branch and your phone no. will be registered right away but now branch or CC are just as reception people there, to take the complain but they don’t have any power. All power resides with backend department which we, yes you guessed it right, can’t reach them via phone. Only emails that too only bank employees can do. I have complained abt them on twitter too but no response from them. Awesome! I am sure even post office bank can do better than these as*****

Who said you not to ask others before opening instant account?

And it’s a bank account, not wallet to happen immediately.
You should had given them 1 working day atleast.

But that flashing “Instant” is misleading right, post is about that.
What is stopping them from crediting funds instant.
They should clearly mention outgoing NEFT will be activated instant or not
OP here instant means account opening process starts instant and nothing else.
But as such Axis is ok bank, yes very dumb people are sitting there

I have FK axis card >3 lacs limit but spends beyond Rs2lacs get rejected, finally left the issue there as it is not a big issue.
Kind of replies I got:
1.We can not disclose in email your card limit stuck_out_tongue
2.We understand u r trying to know limit on your card and its 5.65lacs
3. and many absurd replies

Axis bank guys are funny. Let me share my Experience.

My Mom is holding a current account which have 50k Min balance, my Dad uses this for his business. (My dad wasn’t able to open due to cheque book issue, he has to submit an existing savings account cheque book which he doesn’t have. Raised a request with SBI and they sent it after 6 months). So Dad had to open account on Mom name as she’s holding savings account in Axis bank.

After dad received cheque book, he asked sales team to open new current account on his name and transfer funds from my Mom’s account and close my Mom’s current account. So they did 1st activity perfectly and they left Mom’s account without closing.
Now Axis bank started charging penalty for not maintaining Min balance in current account. When I came to know about this it already reached -20k negative balance.
I approached bank manager, they aren’t owning this issue and started blaming us that we haven’t maintained balance. I have shared proof with them how did my balance moved out and where it got credited. Then manager says employee who did this is no longer with their branch and he suggested us to leave this account it will automatically goes inactive soon.

Till now account have reached -30k balance and they stopped charging penalty. This is how Private banks works.

That’s fine. Manager is actually right here. If you don’t plan to use the account in future, let it be. It’ll get dormant. Dormat account with negative balance doesn’t affect your reputation or credit score. After 2-3 yrs of RBI rule, that account will get closed automatically and bank has to stop charging that account for any fees under RBI rule. Then once account is closed, if you want you can open a new account under same name if you want.

So finally they did it. After constant 10 times complains and twitter and here, they finally activated my account properly and everything is working. Just small issues now remaining for example this :

1. They are sending the card on permanent address rather than communication address where I want it. Are they nuts? I gave them communication address to what? COMMUNICATE! Illiterate idiots.

2. Does anyone has any idea why Paytm and all other websites are showing my axis bank debit card (digital card) as credit card in their system? Paytm has 10k limit to add via CC which I use initially via Amex, so tried adding 10 rs and paytm charged me 2% so 10.20 got debited as they are treating my card as credit card rather than debit card. When I add this card in amazon, it says “VISA ending with 1234” All my other cards have bank names with them in amazon.

I was told I have to update signature for this digital account on mobile app/netbanking but I don’t see the signature option anywhere , any idea?

Buggers closed my asap acc without giving any reason.
Their twitter team is mahaan of all full jholl dept.
Hdfc is best for bank accounts.

OP would have saved from all these issues, if he had started with AXIS Asap and then later convert it to full pledged Prime account.

Not only axis bank, in any bank if you open account it takes minimum 3 days to get fully active. Indusind, yesbank, federal bank etc., As per them instant account meaning they will generate instant account number.

Axis Bank. One of the worst bank amongst pvt banks. Remained their customer since Uti days, but then they did something which was insane so closed the account at that moment. Unprofessional idiots. Just another bank at the top of ‘to avoid’ list.

unprofessional may have a new meaning with them .Have been struggling with them for last 3-4 years. earlier they didnt even bother to check if they received my replacement atm card in branch and treated my family members badly and made me order another replacement which got lost and when asked in branch, they gave the previous card which was earlier received and was blocked by me for further replacement. And their manager shamelessly comes to my home every month asking for insurance scheme. i was sticking with them only due to their online spends offer and when the offer was withdrawn wanted to withdraw the reward points, so wanted to update a simple Email id in edge rewards. struggled from march, with no proper reply even for a priority account. RM only messages for Insurance, mutual fund etc. RM got angry after i complained about him also and even lied to me that he is not even my RM for this financial year ( he only messaged me in JULY that he is the RM for this financial year. And he promised me in august 5 that he will solve it in exactly a week. I told him u take a month but solve this problem. and now i messaged him aug end, he replied he is enjoying the weekend with family ( literally these words). after that he did not reply until today which is the next weekend. i asked him and he told me to contact his manager for the problem giving his number. i was fed up and told him to give a Service request or something so that i can complain to the Banking ombudsmen. And to My Surprise within 1 hour he replied back saying email id is updates.
the above is just part of his attitude. Wonder how these type are people are still being employed in a bank and that too private sector.

mujhe to saaare private bank ch* lagte hai , they keep stupid condition like MAB , the money in MAB is always with them and there are other cahrges too .. why not open whe so many psu bank offer saving a/c.just keep limited to there free apps like payzapp pocket etc (you will have to jizz about cashback on it also )

Yeah lol they both are chu****s. PSBs other than SBI are mostly all garbage. Their servers are down whenever they see fit, you wanna pay a bill or recharge mobile, nope, server down. Pvt. banks have significant upper hand there, have been since last decade or more.

Also what you mean by MAB for pvt. banks only? Even for standard BoB a/c they messaged me that MAB has to maintained at 2k PM now, revised from 1k of earlier.

PSBs are only good for those 60 year old people or above who visit banks physically to update their passbook, draw pension and gossip. To them ATM cards are still a thing, and they tend to have a stroke hearing about Mobile banking or internet banking. Ew.

I have been to many SBI branches, rural to head offices. Everywhere most of the the staff are literally rude and lazy. Some feel as if it’s their baap ka bank. Their UPI servers are down atleast 5 days in a month.

Few years ago I sent my mum to have an account opened in SBI. She came back and said I don’t think you should really consider opening an account here. I ask why what happened? Mum says while filling up the form she was taking a bit of time (she is a SC) and one guy literally told her to hurry up, as it was overcrowded and they needed the space. Mum replied to him, ok, she is doing as fast as she can and then the guy replies back you know we have loads of customers, having one more or less really doesn’t matter to us. I mean WTF. The account was opened within a week letter and all shit came but I visited the branch and asked the manager to deactivate the account. Told mum’s story, he says OK, no problem a/c deactivated. No remorse even.

But that is forgiven. Since then till now I have experienced the world a lot more and in it this is nothing. Because Bank of Baroda experience was even bitter and axis bank was annoying AF. I treat these guys like filth now, literally, mostly everyone, so who cares. You give back what you get. They forget that when they conduct their misdeeds.

I have opend one account on 30.10.2020 but I did not receive anything. During video KYC there was an error like "something went wrong, try again ". But while trying again it showed the same error.
I tried customer care number for whole day long but they told that my mobile no is not registered with the bank.
Then I visited home branch ,these guys are telling that they don’t have any idea what to do.
I have paid rs 15590/- yesterday…
Feeling very tensed don’t know what to do now…Somebody plz help me

I had experience recently I received my fk axis cc but when I try to activate it says card details invalid.i called them n told they said wil send pin by courier.whats the problem anybody know?
