I just got approval for freecharge plus credit card based on my flipkart card. Does this card gives cashback on Insurance payment(LIC) ? Any convenience fees applicable for other bills in freecharge? Looking at the features provided, it is a very good card. But why this card not so popular like ACE?
they charge convenience fees on bill payment before max limit of CB was 500 rs now its unlimited but with convenience fees
very good beginners card. Annual spend of 50k can be easily achieved. But since you have Flipkart Axis card, I ld like to advise you to close the freecharge card.

I am looking for a card for bill payment..so flipkart card cannot be compared to this? 5% vs 1.5%.. Also if insurance payment allowed via credit card in freecharge(need to confirm)it is the best card available as ace gives only 2% cashback..My total bills around 50k/year(including insurance payment)..so it gives around 2500 cashback and annual fee waived off at 50k..

there is a trick for convenience charge. Load the freecharge wallet with some money. I guess they charge convenience money on bills above 1000. Yes there ll be some convenience charges 30-40 rupees maybe. If the bill is 1050. Load 60 in wallet. CC convenience fee ll be nil. If the bill is above 1500-1600 then don’t bother with the wallet cc math. Cashback ll be more than the convenience fee.

For lic payment, we can only pay with UPI, card option disabled in FreeCharge
Other life insurance we can pay with this

Thanks.. I was looking for this confirmation..could you please confirm about convenience fee?? Tried to check with mobile recharge above 2500, no convenience fee shown via credit card. I can’t check anything other bills as none of them are about to due.

Above 2000, they charge 1.1 pct
Axis freecharge vs axis airtel which one is better?
roh464 wrote:useful if you are airtel customer?eventhough rewards looks good, capping on each category doesn’t looks good. I feel like ACE/Freecharge still better than airtel.
Freecharge has convience fees which kills the deal , ace wasn’t mentioned in his comment so didn’t bother to compare it.

Yeah..But as @Scorpion said convience fee is only applicable to EB only above 1k as of now and we can pay insurance with 5% cb(not LIC)..Does airtel card gives 10% cb to non airtel mobile recharges?

For regular bills payments Airtel Axis card is better

For normal POS/online FK, for bill payment Airtel. So best would be a combination of both.
After applying from FC app and doing vkyc, got mail from axis_system on 5/7/22 regards processing of application at 11am:
Thank you for applying for Axis Bank Credit Card, the final decision will be communicated within 72 hours
FC app says:
KYC successful. Your application is being processed.
3 days have passed, no update yet. Those who have applied and received FC axis card please share your experience regarding approval time.
No call or agent visit yet. Not an active Axis customer but held secured card and account for 3 years and closed in 2012 without any dispute.
