Thought to discuss on how to max the benefits of paid credit cards and Make best use out of them...
Coz many of the LTF free cards don't offer much value in terms of Reward points
Below are the Paid Cards I hold
SBI Simply Click - 499 + 18%GST / Annum (Took just to get benefits of the SBI regular card offers on Amazon and Flipkart)
SBI Simply Save - 499 + 18%GST / Annum (Recently took as it was preapproved with Rs.500 Amazon GV, will close it after a year)
Standard Chartered Digismart - 49 + GST ( Fee Waiver on Spends of 5k per month, I spend approx. 3.5k on Myntra to get 20% off and Load Paytm wallet for remaining 1.5k to get fee waiver)
Amex MRCC - 1st Year Free , 2nd Year 1500 + GST ( Took the card 10 Days back as its free for 1st year under the referral offer and also I found its one of the best card out in market if you can manage to spend 6k monthly on this card , it will fetch you approximate 5% reward value)
ICICI MMT - 499 + GST (Only One Time Need to Pay this , post that card will be LTF - Took the card just to use for regular Amazon and Flipkart Offers)

SBI CB
SBI BPCL
Only sbi cashback which is going to be free as 2l spends is definite
Holding
SBI Simply Click, fee waiver with 2 Lac spent is feasible
HDFC Infinia, First year free, will evaluate next year and might cancel as fee is ~12k.
Amex MRCC/Pat travel: will pay the fee with RP
Axis ACE: fee waiver with 2 Lac spent is feasible
BoB Ererna: first year free. will cancel next year as SBI CB is giving better value
Axis Airtel: useful to pay bills on airtel (Broadband 25% cb, others 10% cb)
SBI cashback: FYF, will be keeping it for 5% cb on (limited) online spends.

Why not simply click, why BPCL
All my LTF cards are very basic and have rewards even less than a debit card. So I took FK Axis CC and SBI SimplyCLICK CC as paid. Easy to spend the required amount on both these cards for annual fees waiver. The joining fees were reversed as vouchers. So all good.

You can hold two SBI CC + one co-branded SBI CC
Paid Cards -
Axis Ace - 499+ gst
SBI Simply Click - 499+gst
ICICI MMT - 499+GST(1 TIME)
I spent easily more than 1L in sbi so effectively free.
Ace I have to pay 499 as it has 2L spent .

Nobody seems to have mentioned Axis Freecharge yet.
Fees I think is Rs. 350 which will be waved off at a spend of 50k in a year.
It gives 5% real cashback on every transaction done on Freecharge app (1% + gst convenience fees are charged on Freecharge for electricity > 1k, so effectively one gets 3.9% I think on electricity).
I combine this with AMEX MRCC to get 4-5% on other spends overall.
Overall, I feel 50K spends Axis Freecharge for utility + 1.5L spends on Amex MRCC for other spends gives around 4-5% cashback and much better than having Ace + SBI cashback combo as this combination effectively becomes LTF as the spending criteria can be easily met.
