Don’t have a Bank Account with HDFC till now.
Applied through website cc suggest to send card upgrade application to Chennai.

For infinia the floor limit is 8l. I’d suggest waiting to become eligible for infinia rather than applying for dcb.
People get DCB/ Infinia
Me be like: Abey! yaha kya krrr rhe ho fir 😂
Adding my query too..
Im having a money-back card with 2 lac limit.
Got it on September last week of 2021..
I want to upgrade to millennia cc..
Ps : I applied through bank employee and she told that she will upgrade it in November..
But when I called her last time she said..keep using the card and ull get the upgrade soon..
Is there any time frame for upgrade?
Also how much time should be kept between applying two credit cards..
Im interested in icici platinum Ltf cc.. and want to apply for it

Icici cards have the worst reward rates so if you don’t have a need for it , like for ecommerce offers , you shouldn’t apply for it.

Q: Also how much time should be kept between applying two credit cards..
A: Not too sure but I’ve heard that there should be at least 3 months gap between 2 CIBIL score inquiries.

You mean, in case I get an option to upgrade to Diners Club Black in the future, I shouldn’t opt for it?
Rather, I should wait for credit limit enhancement till 8L and then in upgrade section I may see an option to upgrade to Infinia?
If my above 2 statements are what you’re trying to say, won’t it be better to first upgrade to Diners Club Black and then after some time, I should get credit limit bumped upto 8L and then I could be eligible for Infinia.

If you take dcb , it’ll be hard to get infinia , as both are in different platforms. One is diners club and the other is visa. It’s not impossible but you will not get an automatic approval for infinia if you take dcb.
It’s easy to achieve DCB’s annual fee waiver by spending 5L in a year. But for Infinia you need to spend 10L in a year. Getting LTF is also difficult. So i would say get DCB. I don’t see much benefit in Infinia vs DCB if you are not heavy traveller/spender. (Except metal form factor)
Assuming Regalia First is LTF, I would suggest first bumping up your credit limit in existing Regalia First to good amount. Wait for few months. Then ask customer care/ Chennai office to issue DCB by using part of the existing credit limit. Say Diners card is not supported in my area shop’s POS. If they oblige, then you get to keep both cards. No harm in opening HDFC SB account also. That way you can use your RM help.

Thanks
If you are eligible apply for upgrade via brach or send upgrade form if your card is 3 month old. Having dcb will give you minimum 5 lacs credit limit. In future if your credit limit enhance then go for infinia.

Scores can take a hit.
Almost 7 new unsecured loans in a quarter. Its a bit too brisk.
Thanks for the concern bro.
Already planned to stop for a while. But sbi and hdfc tempted to apply through offline for sure shot approval.
Now will hold back for 6 months.
Right now CIBIL at 786
For everyone who need DCB card you need to cross 5lac limit plus need to spend 5lac+ in last one year on existing card. Your year start from the card expiry month.
Similarly it’s 8lac limit and 10lac spending for infinia.
