Currently I am on 100Mbps plan paying 942.82 monthly.
How can I change to lower plans? Will it be effective from next day or next monthly cycle?

On myjio app, change your plan to 499+gst and it be effective from next day

Lowest is 399+gst = 470.82
Speed 30mbps, and no add on.
You can try downgrading through Myjio app, if you are having hard time in doing so. Then contact customer support team, they will do it for you. They will also, let you know if it will be applicable from next day or next billing cycle.

Best to do this in the last 7 days of your current plan's expiry so that in case the new plan takes effect immediately and the pro-rated amount is not refunded then your losses are minimal.

I have called customer care. They mentioned since we have Jio Setop Box in 799 100 Mbps plan, they will take it back and then I can downgrade from the my jio app.
