Hello, for the last one month pigeons have been littering at large scales on my house parapet wall. I have 2 kids and I am worrying about their health due to this. Please let me know any tried and tested methods to get rid of pigeons. Thanks in advance

Maybe these type of spikes can help you
InstallPigeon net
For time being i used cd's. Lets see how it works
Ultrasonic sounds?
Install or tie shiny objects like CD or inner side of chips and biscuits packets , cut into pom pom like lines so that it waves in air.
I read somewhere that they get scared of the shine from CDs. You can try that
You will have to work hard kn that case atleast for a month with proper follow ups at intervals.
Scaring the pigeons with sound , shooving them away , etc .
Also do check if anyone is feeding nonstop grains whole day like kabutarkhana nearby .

then the parapet's surfaces can be covered with (wooden or other) planks.. from which UNEVEN length nails are jutting out .. every few centimeters.
In a large city with dense urban population and thriving crow and pigeon populations.. we successfully tried this for the outdoor unit of the HVAC, where pigeons messed around.
Other way is to have mummify'ed or preserved with formaldehyde.. dead body or bodies of pigeons kept around the terrace.. i'd those smart-dumbasses can see it as a threat to be in a murderous place.
Else a realistic looking/ lifelike idol/ mannequin of birds of prey.. like hawks, eagles or even an animal like an angry looking cat.
Else every day.. leave a toy pigeon or bird hung upside down.. as if stuck.. and vigorously trying to move (robot bird/ battery operated toy) .. which might look like birds get trapped there.
Otherwise, if the property is self owned
then as advised by @IOCL-Baba, you may consider caging the terrace.
The multiple building residential complex we once stayed in.. did it.
Installed metal sheets/ FRP sheets covering/ ceiling on the terrace and sides where all closed using thick net type plastic structures.. with limited opening places.. in case the top floor residents want access for external repair or the messy satellite dish maintenance.
