How to know out if Credit/Debit Card PIN has been set

If one never uses a credit/debit card offline, PIN is never required and hence one may never set or forget to set the PIN.
For such cases, without using a swipe machine or ATM, are there any other options to know if a Credit/Debit Card PIN has been already set? One can always reset the PIN, but that's not the point here.

Activation has nothing to do with PIN

Card will not be activated without generating pin. Or to activate u need to make a payment, but even for that u should genarate/reset pin first from netbanking or app.
