And if one does not have such skills, resources available and in 'good faith basis' wants to believe cdsco.gov.in or the manufacturers
then they used to give a SMS messaging facility to check if the product is counterfeit or genuine.
For tablets like PAN-D or others, the code was mentioned on the pack
for one to SMS it to a designated ten digit number and in reply... the manufacturer verifies if it is a genuine pack.
Similarly the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation.
CDSCO had promoted https://verify.pharmasecure.com/india and 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐌𝐒 𝐧𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 ☎️+𝟗𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟎𝟏𝟎𝟗𝟗𝟎𝟏𝟎📞.

What you can do?
Always Check the batch number of the medicine and match it with with batch number printed on the bill ( Purchase invoice). Never buy medicine from online or offline stores unless they mention batch number of each of the medicines. Even if they are over the counter ( OTC) and doesn't require prescription.
