How to prepare ourselves for studying?

As we say, everyone is a student, as we learn new things daily from everything nd everyone.
Sine the day i started working(or may be in the last year of my graduation ), i realised that the eagerness of learning is decreasing day by day and today i lost any and every connection with learning/studies.
I need help from you guys, how you keep yourself motivated (i don't know if that's required), or what pushes you for upgrading yourself , how you study..
When i asked few people, they said higher package (money) aspires and inspires them to study more and grow.
Why that factor (greed) doesn't have ny impact on me.
M i dying inside??

I shouldn’t speak about “study” specifically, cause I was never keen to study at the first place, only good part was ki I was regular, hardly skipped any class no matter how disinterested I’m, straight from my school to clg,
For me what works, If I like/love something, I go for it all guns blazing, no half measures there…
Try to meditate, sort your priorities, ask yourself what do you want from life and work towards it.
Don’t have any regrets & believe in yourself.
Same situation @kartikxxx
What about competition & curiosity? Isnt that helping.
Competition is giving stress and curiosity i think i have lost it…i find everything boring
same karm(prepration) kiye ja rhe exam diye ja rhe na results as rha na fal(job)
You’re fine the way you’re. There’s no dire need to upgrade yourself which isn’t necessarily a bad thing but somewhere down the line you might start feeling that “what you’re doing” isn’t enough and this is how you find the motivation (Reason could be anything: Money/Higher package, competition or it could be even a personal conflict with an individual). And everything feels boring in the beginning because they’re new to us ( there were multiple instances where i stopped reading an academic/recreational book just because the first few pages/chapters felt boring ) and once we develop some connect/liking then there’s no going back. So, i guess its important to give some timeframe to everything before giving up
That being said learning isn’t just about degrees or documented stuff. We keep learning something every day (knowingly/unknowingly) even by just observing few things so there’s always some progress/upgrading!
i don’t know what you would like to listen to. I restarted my study with 8th class maths. I like maths the most. Then slowly with python and into subjects. It brought back my young habit of “learning” back. With this upgrade my career longevity has gone up before I call it quits. Try once with geometry in maths
they said higher package (money) aspires and inspires them to study more and grow ~ i know people who have very High package, they are now looking for girls this mating season…
So you know what to do….
I can’t afford another distraction, already struggling
Open book and read
If it was that easy, i wouldn’t even ask for suggestions.
You can always learn new things and keep upgrading your skills all the time.
Someone asked same question on Pareeksha pe Charcha also.
kya jwab diya ji ne?
everyone is a student
kuch log yaha 2-2 bache vale ha
If you find something that could motivate you except money, let me know as well 😊

As we grow older the ability to learn new things decreases.

Motivation is a myth. You don’t need motivation. You will need motivation to build new habits. Once habit is formed it’s like breathing procedure. While inhaling oxygen, our diaphragm contracts then air fills the lungs, while exhaling diaphragm collapses. And load of biochemical functions are involved. While we were kids we struggled, we cried. Now we do it effortlessly. Similarly, once beneficial habits are formed we will no longer need motivation.

Different persons have different kinks and fetishes.
Why that factor (greed) doesn’t have any impact on me.
Then bhai you need to reassess your life. Everyone is greedy. A monk is greedy for Moksha, a teacher is greedy to find eager students to teach etc. Just define your greed.
M i dying inside??
No idea bhai.

Ye Tia ji kaun hain?? 🐒
You have to decide why do you want to study in the first place.
- Set a goal.
- Break that goal into different chunk level parts.
- Then take an assessment of the time available to you.
- Dedicate the time available to you to those chunks.
Live Example: GATE Preparation, Subject ECE
EC | Electronics and Communicatio |
- Syllabus is https://gate.iitkgp.ac.in/documents/gatesyllabu...
- Sub subjects are Eng Maths, Networks, Signals & Systems, Electronic Devices, Analog Circuits, Digital Circuits, Control Systems, Communication, Electromagnetics
- For Eng Maths one can blindly refer to Kreyszig. For that probability portion one has to take help of some other books, I dont know about.
- Before starting with anything else one can study Elements of Electromagnetics by Sadiku and Fundamentals of Electric Circuits Paperback Sadiku and Alexander. Basically at the end of the course one can become a master of circuit solving. Those KVLs and KCLs work every where. Be it your simple battery circuits, be it your hybrid pi analysis of transistors. And electromagnetics is a very tough topic to crack. I will advise one to go thoroughly through the co-ordinate systems especially cylindrical and spherical ones. During wave guide analysis those concepts will be deal breakers.
- I will assume we have finished Electrical Ckts, Electromagnetics and Eng Maths. We have covered Probability part of communication engg, some portions of OPAMP and BJTs. That circuit book I have shared has those things. Then we need to venture on Electronic Devices. Behzad Razavi sir has covered them lucidly here https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyYrySVq...;.
- Then we have control systems. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyqSpQzTE6M8... will take care of it.
- Then comes Signal and Systems https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL41692B571D.... will cover it.
- Communication part. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLdnsORcN_8yi... will do it.
- Then comes digital electronics. https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9RcWoqXmzaJ... This will do it
- Then previous year Gate questions and mock exams as well as practice of online calculator.
- That’s it. Now main question.
Why GATE?
Let’s come to the greed part
You can learn new things, you will be opening yourself to the new horizons. You can get those things which you could never dream of and you can actively participate in building your country.
Time Management
- If we give each and every subject 1 month exactly then we will need at least 9 months. Since subjects are overlapping with one another we will not need exactly 9 months.
- Then comes that calculator part. Websites are there.
Now, we know what to do, which things are there to be covered, opportunities etc. Now the participant can decide.
You can substitute any examination in place of GATE, e.g. Banking, ESE etc. You don’t need any sort of motivation. Those are filmy dialogue. Real work comes after motivation runs out. There is a quitter part of mind and there is a winner part. If the resilient winner part of mind can overcome the quitter part of mind then history can be rewritten. Consistency matters a lot. Constant discipline, practice, dedication will triumph over motivation any single day.
Thanks bro for taking time to write .
Tia – thanks in advance
everyone is in the same boat🥺
I’m not getting the kick as well.

- Objectify your goals
- Cut the goal into smaller chunks
- Achieve those goals and celebrate small victories
- Get, Set and Go.
- And be ready to sacrifice your unnecessary burdens.
- Persistence and Perseverance beats Motivation any single day.
- You will need like minded people to guide you and to be guided by you.
If you can’t find the reason to work for your so called goal then find something that gives you some kick.
Motivation lao zindagi me
