In the 'Gifts and credits' part or the 'stored value account' part?
The former (gift cards) has sone limitations but the Amazon money part can and does get transferred to bank by them.
(Like when one requests account closure or when such huge amounts are at stake/ financial issues).
If it is in gift cards, and one does not want to involve others, then perhaps buying bullion (silver, gold) and re-selling might be one way to eventually get back 'cash in hand'.
Else offer to help others in paying electricity bills, insurance premium, travel tickets.
