I've been scammed by local cable operator from last 3 years

My broadband provider has been getting rs 30 per month extra from last 3 years.
When the plan is of 472 rs , he used to take 500.
I was unaware of the fact and usually get great speed so never spared my attention to all these.
Today I checked my broadband provider is listed on BBPS /Amazon broadband recharge page.
So i called isp for the first time for enquiring about my user id .
And I came to know about this scam.
I called him right away , did not tell him about anything about how's he been taking more money every month since last 3 years.
cause I don't want toxicity about me in anyone's mind.
Just told him not to recharge from his side ever again.
I get offers on BBPS apps so now on I will recharge it myself.
Moral of the story: Always get signed and stamped invoice from your ISP. Even you're paying the local cable guy.
On a side note,is there any good broadband recharge offer currently available?

I've problem with this extra 28.
It's common practice in India, whenever there's a slightly proposanate to sum they grand total it to multiples of 50 or even in 100, even with gas cylinder guy we paid all the money online still he asks for extra 30,i had rejected to give it sometimes, at that time he didn't delevery timely like he delayed for more than 20 days.
So, the moral of the story is there's no moral at all , all are filthy and dishonest when it comes to money & respect!
If you trust someone, sure they'll deceive in soon (except those who bring you in this world)
He said : Online payment is not beneficial. If anything bad happens then he can't help.
He said online payments are note reliable so only cash payment.
I said : Bhai I even book cylinder online and you are saying not pay for internet online.
When he came for the cash collection for the 1st month I told him that I already paid online. He started fighting with me.
I : I will do online only, you can come to meet me every month although.
Indigital Mumbai location the main cable company has an app online plans and payment still the local fellow does not offer this service and when asked makes a bloated face with egoistic attitude saying we don't have online payment and selection of plans

my provider used to take extra₹8 every month when there was pure monopoly by him, couldn't do anything,
then jio laid out wire in our area immediately next day he came and started to upgrade line to 'fiber' but he wanted ₹1000 as onu charge, I said " why should I pay u ₹1000 again instead of paying jio ₹1000 and take their connection at least they offer online recharge 😜" , now he said "ok do online recharge"
previously he was friendly to me now he doesn't talk to me when I occasionally meet him in road just for ₹8/month 😗
Just like how ola/Uber guys expect to be paid in cash.
They want to collect money themselves as much as possible instead of having to wait for the company to pay them. They even might have ways to under report the count of subscriptions some how and pocket the 25% themselves.
i paid 5000rs for excitel
they did not gave me bill / invoice , (my plan login details are also hidden)
but i got 200mbps for an year in 5k that makes 416rs per month .
there is no such plan on website ,
but on website it shows 499 + 18% gst extra that becomes 5600 rs for an year.
now my question is how he is able to save gst from me 😵
After reading ur post i also feel there is something fishy or m also scammed in any way idk
The same happens with our Indane LPG cylinder guy he takes 30rs extra on invoice every single month when I got to know this he just said it's the charge for bringing up to first floor but before that he even told my parents that he will cancel the subscription on saying we are using it for commercial purposes if we don't pay extra.
@hackerboys What i mean to say is.. he could be using one connection for 2 or more people with bandwidth limits set (You + Neighbours). These are true unlimited plans and 200Mbps is a lot of speed, unless you keep downloading/uploading at max speeds for significant amount of time (Streaming services won't require more than 25Mbps network speed even for 4K), no one will suspect anything
+ There's a 400Mbps plan for Delhi NCR costing 600+GST (~350 per person if shared with two people)
when he was entering username and password in my router i saw he got message from NEXTRWRLD-AD something like this on his personal mobile number
( my number is not registed iam sure as i checked on Myexcitel App ,acc not exist error )
Then he entered

I asked him why he entered nextraWorld username , he said no need to worry check IP address and speedTest it is Excitel only ,
iam still confused as nobody is able to find out how they are doing this 😛

Many others here have faced similar situation as mine. I had netplus broadband 50Mbps plan, that too limited to 200GB/m (at that time he was only provider and I was his 2nd subscriber). I used to pay around 708 (600+Gst) at that time. Later after couple of years he switched my plan to prepaid and everything remained same. I also used to do recharge online so there was no issue but recharge was only available on their website, not via Amazon, paytm or any other platform because of this prepaid issue. Later I visited their wesite to check for plans for new user and it showed same plan for only 500+Gst (100+Gst less than mine). I asked him why my plan is expensive than official website? to which he said this is the only plan, there is no such plan as 500. I even sent him screenshot but he didn't bothered replying. But till this time couple of other ISP were available with less monthly charge and unlimited plans. Switched immediately to other provider.
He asked me that I have not recharged my plan and it will be deactivated if not done. I told him, I won't be recharging and let it get disconnected. Plus point was, that I took connection when there was no security fee. So I have their router which I am using as extension router. Also I am sharing my plan with my neighbor so at present paying around Rs. 235/m for 50Mbps unlimited plan on sharing basis 😄

online pay karo aur middilemen dallo ko avoid karo only go otherwise if they give discount of the diff.
I am booking cylinder online and not paying that extra 30 rs but the delivery boy comes annoyed everytime and this time he even steal gas by manipulating the seal of the cylinder ......i just dont want to get in an argument with these cheap people but i really want to teach him a good lesson someday
Ask him to pay Rs.1080.00 in total. If you have any receipt/ CCTV Footage snap that he had received sum of Rs. 500 i shall raise a digital copy of complaint, show it to him stating his license would get cancelled, he'd repay you.
Every penny is hard earned. Don't lose, when you start to neglect the thief get more lethargic.
