My broadband provider has been getting rs 30 per month extra from last 3 years.
When the plan is of 472 rs , he used to take 500.
I was unaware of the fact and usually get great speed so never spared my attention to all these.
Today I checked my broadband provider is listed on BBPS /Amazon broadband recharge page.
So i called isp for the first time for enquiring about my user id .
And I came to know about this scam.
I called him right away , did not tell him about anything about how's he been taking more money every month since last 3 years.
cause I don't want toxicity about me in anyone's mind.
Just told him not to recharge from his side ever again.
I get offers on BBPS apps so now on I will recharge it myself.
Moral of the story: Always get signed and stamped invoice from your ISP. Even you're paying the local cable guy.
On a side note,is there any good broadband recharge offer currently available?

It's common practice in India, whenever there's a slightly proposanate to sum they grand total it to multiples of 50 or even in 100, even with gas cylinder guy we paid all the money online still he asks for extra 30,i had rejected to give it sometimes, at that time he didn't delevery timely like he delayed for more than 20 days.
So, the moral of the story is there's no moral at all , all are filthy and dishonest when it comes to money & respect!
If you trust someone, sure they'll deceive in soon (except those who bring you in this world)

He said : Online payment is not beneficial. If anything bad happens then he can't help.
He said online payments are note reliable so only cash payment.
I said : Bhai I even book cylinder online and you are saying not pay for internet online.
When he came for the cash collection for the 1st month I told him that I already paid online. He started fighting with me.
I : I will do online only, you can come to meet me every month although.

So 400 is the actual plan price + 18% GST (72). Usually service providers highlight just the plan price and the GST part in a very tiny font

my provider used to take extra₹8 every month when there was pure monopoly by him, couldn't do anything,
then jio laid out wire in our area immediately next day he came and started to upgrade line to 'fiber' but he wanted ₹1000 as onu charge, I said " why should I pay u ₹1000 again instead of paying jio ₹1000 and take their connection at least they offer online recharge 😜" , now he said "ok do online recharge"
previously he was friendly to me now he doesn't talk to me when I occasionally meet him in road just for ₹8/month 😗

Just like how ola/Uber guys expect to be paid in cash.
They want to collect money themselves as much as possible instead of having to wait for the company to pay them. They even might have ways to under report the count of subscriptions some how and pocket the 25% themselves.

they did not gave me bill / invoice , (my plan login details are also hidden)
but i got 200mbps for an year in 5k that makes 416rs per month .
there is no such plan on website ,
but on website it shows 499 + 18% gst extra that becomes 5600 rs for an year.
now my question is how he is able to save gst from me 😵
After reading ur post i also feel there is something fishy or m also scammed in any way idk

The same happens with our Indane LPG cylinder guy he takes 30rs extra on invoice every single month when I got to know this he just said it's the charge for bringing up to first floor but before that he even told my parents that he will cancel the subscription on saying we are using it for commercial purposes if we don't pay extra.

same with me local isp which handle by cable operator ask me not to do online recharge. he says why do you recharge online give cash payment.so they can ask for extra money
