I received following message from IDFC bank.
Is it worth it ? Any special benefit.
From what I can see; this account will be essentially free of charge a/c.
There's no charges and only AMB requirement which based upon this text; they will waive it off so its 0 balance free account like kotak 811.
Also, if I decide to opt for it. How do I make sure they follow this and do infact offer me 0 balance account. In CC, its easy since 1 can deny to activate the card.

Also check the charges of debit card as indusind also offer zero balance account but with debit card condition

IDFC Customer support is something else.
I created the account at 12 midnight and then immediately it asked me to do VKYC.
I was like "what the hell, why not give it a shot" knowing fully that it will ask me to connect during business hours but in indeed connected to an agent during midnight and I compelted the VKYC. Wow ! That's a first..

I took it and recently got it upgraded to Wealth banking, although I would've loved if they offer 25k MAB account variant as ZERO balance account at least for those who are holding Wealth CC, their top-most CC in lifetime free category but now that I'll be upgraded to Wealth banking, it's all fine now

I also received similar message but i am not able to figure out which variant is offered at 0 AMB , 10k or 25k ? @IVI @sahil1033 where to find this info in given link as the whatsapp message is generic.
And any specific benefits of IDFC Account apart from 0 AMB ?

no specific benefit but it's a good bank and by paying one-time fee of Rs. 99 + GST, you can get IDFC FIRSTap sticker debit card which is a RuPay Platinum debit card and can be used on Amazon Fridays offer
