Dear Cardholder,
This is to inform you that Reward Points accrued on transactions eligible for Instant Discount and Cashback offers will be forfeited as per T&Cs of the Offer Program. Reward points will be forfeited for all transactions done during offer period and considered for Offer computation.
In case a cardholder does not have adequate Reward Points balance at the time of forfeiture, an amount equal to the deficit in the Reward Points will be debited from his / her credit card account.
In case of any other query, would request you to please contact the SBI Card Helpline at 39 02 02 02 (prefix local STD code) or 1860 180 1290.

And if they don't then I hope users here abuse sbi cashback card so much that when their next quarter results are announced their share price fall down quite a bit so one can buy them at good discount price.

Just received the email as well...So, it means whenever there will be a sale, we wont earn any reward points for using SBI cards...😔
Just keeping SimplyClick because of the 10% offer days on AZ/FK, otherwise would have closed the card much earlier...
They may even start charging reward point redemption fees on SimplyClick soon...

As @getready mentioned their is no rp system on cashback card so it can be possible this change will not effect cashback card fyi i have SBI ola and cashback credit card both of them give cashback not reward points also i haven’t received this mail from SBI till now so can someone confirm who hold cards from sbi that has cashback system and received this mail??

I do not think this mail is regarding sbi cashback card, if they abolish 5% cashback during the offer or sale season then their card (which has a concept of giving 5% CB up to 10000 then 1% for unlimited) will contradict their tnc. mostly sbi can restrict cashback cards from giving instant discounts during sales but stopping or forfeiting from providing a 5% cashback promise on all online shopping irrespective of the season sale or merchant will become a joke

the 1x will also go away I think.. anyways its 250 rs value for 1 lac purchase. What difference does it make? Going forward, if one uses card, charges apply. If card is not used, charges apply. For payment, charges apply, opening sbi card app - charges apply. closing sbi card app - charges apply. thinking about card - charges apply, not thinking about card - charges apply, touching the card - charges apply. Card not touched - charges apply
