I know this facility is there in Flipkart, do you know if, In amazon can you pay for a COD order while the item is in transit?

No, you cannot pay while in-transit. However, you can pay on the day of delivery using Debit/Credit Cards & NetBanking & UPI, but not thru Amazon Pay Balance..

Thanks. You are right. There is no facility to pay while the item is in transit.

The only options I find there on the order page after placing a COD are to Track, Cancel & Archive.

I cancelled my order, will place it next week.

As of today, Payment for COD orders while in-transit option never existed in Amazon India, except pay on the day of delivery using Debit/Credit Cards & NetBanking & UPI, (but not with Amazon Pay Balance) thru PayLink.

UPI transactions are related to Bank Account to Bank Account, not related to Amazon Pay Balance in anyway. And, Amazon-PayLink Payments are processed by Third Party Agency, so they accommodate only Debit/Credit Cards & NetBanking & UPI Payments (but not with Amazon Pay Balance) as of now.

and i surely did not ever store bank account details.

I GPay'd for an item that was out for delivery using the QR code present in the invoice. The delivery agent told they didn't received my payment. So I had to pay them again in CASH. Didn't even got my money back.
