I Filed my Income Tax (ITR3) for the Assessment Year 2021-22 on 24 Oct 21 but it is still pending at Return processing stage this is the first time I am seeing this much time taken for completion.
Even though there is no refund to be received just wanted to make sure if there is anything to be done from my side to complete the processing, I had sent an email on Dec second week to efilingwebmanager @ incometax. gov. in to check on the same but didn’t get any reply.
Any suggestions ?
i filed my fathers on 18th dec and processed in a week sometimes it takes time upto 6 months for no mentioned reason.
1) Please check TIS statement and it matches with your filing.
2) check the pending actions and compliance portal once (within income tax website) to se3 anything.
mine is pending since September
@IamRage if you have done all correctly as per your knowledge, do not worry, it does take time randomly with no apparent logic behind it.
Just let it slip behind your mind.
Reallife experience: 5 persons filing tax on the same date. Fastest was within 20 days.. last one got after 5 months. However it doesn’t mean 5 months will be max.. they might drag it more as well.

Pending from August
Dont worry. I filed in December 1st week and got confirmation in 2 weeks. my wife filed in Oct and her confirmation came last week. Last year it took 5 months for me
There is a phone number for you circle. call them and check.. I had called them few years back and they help me push the processing..
You’ve done your job. Ignore, its their job to process it now.

Mine processed in December month someday at midnight and 143(1) came just within two hours at around 2am
last time mine took 6 months +

Mine is still pending from Oct, last month I called their centralized processing team they said it should be done within 3 months , then took 5 mins to make them understand it was already more than 3 months.
then they raised a complain and this was the resolution I got

Dear Taxpayer, it is seen from Income Tax Portal that for AY 2021-22, the verification and processing of your return is in progress and the same is done in batches based on various automated validations. It may take upto 90 working day
Even if it was 90 working days it was crossed
@IamRage You can file a revised return under 139(5) (I suppose). For me revised return processed within the same day. (As mine was pending since August).
PS :: I don’t knw if there are any consequences on filing revised return.

My mother’s refund was done in 4 days. Can you believe it!!!
