I have booked 3 tickets in Indigo airlines under single PNR. Now as per Govt. guideline for Covid-19, web check-in is compulsory. I was trying to web check-in for the same immediately after booking. They are showing only 4 free seats, that too all middle seat of different rows. To my surprise, All other seats are paid
I just want 3 seats together in any row which is free. What’s the solution? As of now I haven’t booked it yet because of these charges. 48hrs. before flight departure, web chek-in will open & I have to book it anyhow.
Can anyone tell me, what’s the solution for it?
Appreciates the spirit +kg
@drjpatwa sir, 3 seats were in same PNR or 3 different PNRs?

Same PNR.
That’s why I was fighting. I told them 3 seats are of the same PNR & out of these 3 seats, 1 seat is for 2 yrs. old Kid.
I have travelled multiple times and leave thr seats to auto assign. They will give seats together. If not, you can complaint at airport and they have to oblige. Never had issues with this

how will they charge on those self service kiosks?
mhndrmlv397 wrote:yes, i told customer care i will myself use the kiosk he replied still u have to pay. they might keep someone to. Monitor the machines
dont think so. might be some payment method linked to it, not sure
drjpatwa wrote:So finally my complaint did work. Indigo assign me all 3 seats together as 1 time gesture for free of cost

I always try to fight for the wrong things with 0% hope. Many times we take it granted & don’t complain that’s the issue.
I too want to check-in but i can see only 3 seats that too in the last & second last row and for my 2nd flight not even a single seat is available for free wat d
What shall i do now?

Check in and seat selection at airport kiosk is free. If the airport does not have a kiosk then a manual check in with an airline representative is likely to cost money with most airlines.

But nowadays we need to check-in i guess
Manual check-in is not possible

You can check in at the airport kiosk for free and select seats, also for free. If your flight doesn’t have a lot of traffic, or is at an odd hour, there is a good chance you’ll get seats close to each other, or even next to each other. You’ll need to be at the airport a bit early though, for this chance.
In any case, check in and seat selection are free at airport kiosks, if there are any.
I have always experienced various errors while online checkin
Dont understand, such big companies…

If it’s indogo, you can opt for random seat. Most probably you’ll get your desired seat, but not if you’re late to party as most seats are eiher alloted randomly or got sold.

Web Check-in
As per the current government guidelines, it is mandatory to web check-in for your domestic flight. Complete it for free 48 hr to 60 min before your domestic flight and 24 hr to 75 min before your international flight. A facilitation fee of ₹200 (domestic flights only) is applicable for airport check-in with assistance.

Do web checkin, opt for auto assign. Reach airport a bit early, check-in again at kiosk, change seat selection on kiosk (all available seats will be shown free on kiosk, except front row and middle row with extra leg room). Or you can request change of seats during baggage drop at counter.

They have allotted me 17E and 14 E
I’ll try to check-in once again from the Kiosk directly if possible else i’ll try to get my seat changed at the counter itself

Nothing new. You get middle seats only free.
Pay the money and get the seat, otherwise you all will be seated in diff rows.
