Guys Currently I have Regalia LTF. I received an offer for Infinia Metal card. But it is not life time free. Also, I was told that my reward point on Regalia will be converted at the rate of 50%.

1. Can you please suggest is it worth upgrading from LTF to a paid one?

2. I do spend over 10 lakhs per year on CC, but that covers all payments like insurance, utility bills, school fees etc. Does that fit in if I start using this Infinia as main card?

PS: I do have IDFC First Select credit card LTF, My wife have Regalia LTF, My father have IDFC Wealth card (infinite) LTF

I should stop using all these to get the benefit of this Infinia. Is that worth in terms of IDFC wealth rewards compare to Infinite?

Please guide me. Thanks

if you can't spend 10lacs pay the fees and get 12500RP, so it's not a big loss, 3 add ons free and unlimited lounges for add on holders too.

Good only if you travel frequently or at least once in 2-3 months

I feel IDFC wealth is better as their RP are easier to redeem and almost same rewards as Infinia

Do tell me how can you get 15-30% reward rate from IDFC wealth as it is only possible with Infinia.

Also, even if you travel once in 3 years...Infinia is the card to get.

@kingkhan9, Infinia is one of the super premium credit cards and if used efficiently, it can reap massive rewards

one question though, I too have Regalia LTF, what's the credit limit you're having and how much approx. did you spend in the last 6 months? (you can answer in DM if privacy is a concern)

@kingkhan9  Take Infinia. Its reward rate goes as high as 33.33% on certain categories.

If you can look forward to redeem reward points on flights/hotels even once in a couple of years, there is no other card at present which can give you better value.

Although, if your spends are touching 12-15L/year,you can also look at Axis Magnus provided you are holding Axis Burgundy account.

Thanks guys. My worry is the amount they are charging is 12500/- + gst which is not a small amount. Also their reward conversion from Regalia to Infinia is only 50%. I got over 36K points and I will only get 18k points of Infinia equivalent.

Infinia

  • Products and Vouchers via Netbanking or SmartBuy at a value of 1 RP = upto Rs 0.50
  • Cashback at a value of 1 RP = Rs 0.30

Regalia

  • Products and Vouchers via Netbanking or SmartBuy at a value of 1 RP = upto Rs 0.35
  • Cashback at a value of 1 RP = Rs 0.20

I will be losing the value right?

Reward points will have same rupees value after conversion. Don't worry.

If you are redeeming points to vouchers your reward rate will be only 1.66%.

Only Tanishq/Apple/Flight booking will give you max benefits.

Flight booking also has monthly limits, so can book max 2-3 persons in a month.

On renewal you'll get 12.5k points which again converts to 6.25k vouchers.

Don't apply impulsively.

Reward points will not have the same value after conversion

For eg you have 1000 reward points in regalia you got 500 points in INFINIA.

For 1000 points you got a Rs.350 voucher in regalia and Rs.250 voucher in INFINIA.

Net loss is about 40% for conversion.

I also exact same offer and decided not to upgrade.

Despite Reward Points,  I won't be able to justify such high fees. Also I hardly do air travel.

My most usage has shifted to HDFC TATA Neu Rupay, Axis Ace cards. I do not hold any paid card now.

Better to stay in regalia if you don't use flights, hotels, 10x or 5x merchants.

For reference if you spend 8 lakhs in regalia you get 21333 regular points and 15000 bonus points.

Total value for vouchers Rs.12716 without renewal fees.

If you spend 8 lakhs in INFINIA you get 26666 points.

Total value of vouchers Rs.13333 and also you need to pay joining fees if you didn't achieve a milestone.

Personally I don't use flights, hotels and 10x or 5x merchants

Additionally I'm using business regalia which gives reward points even for tax payments.

I pay at least Rs.3 lakhs to Rs.4 lakhs per year for tax payments.
