Redesigned card was shown on their FB page a few days ago, but they sent detailed email about changes made in point structure only today. The card earlier offered 1.2% cashback in form of inner circle points for all pirchases(non lifestyle affiliated stores) and was a good deal but reducing the amount to just 0.6% has made this card lose all its worth even when it is free for life.

That’s bound to happen. This card was first launched in line of citi bank first citizen ShoppersStop card. They kept on changing terms but still platinum card for free that time was still a deal. I struggled hard with scb Care that time to get correct points as system was faulty.

Definitely I would prefer using preferred banking card with 2/100 points. Though redemption ratio is low in scb.

Breeze banking card was awesome. 10x / 5x points. They stopped it. https://cdn1.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_sad.gif

Both cards are obsolete now thanks to heavy discounts on gift vouchers of both the stores. Citi one is no longer free, spends based waiver of fees. This one was fine till now, 1.2% value return while other entry level cards rarely cross 1%. I no longer see any reason to use it. The points system is very opaque for this particular SCB card.

So you are preferred banking customer as well, minimum balance requirement of 2Lakh I guess. But there banking service is even worse. Instead of providing new features, they are removing the existing ones. Earlier they ordered Auto-ordering of cheque books, then Cheque deposit machines started to disappear from ATMS and now I see that in some ATMS Cash Deposit option has also been removed. Will closing my account very soon.

Isnt Manhattan one better than this preferred banking card? 5 points per 150 spent!!

Never heard of Breeze banking credit card https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_sad.gif

Breeze banking credit card was best card from scb. Initially 10x points & then 5x on chosen categories. You could choose any photo for card. Excellent rewards card. Few months back they stopped it.

Scb preferred banking account I held fir just one year that too for 5% cashback platinum debit card. In first year no aqb required. With that I also went for pb credit card. Continuing that. That’s better version of platinum rewards. I was holding platinum reward too which I stopped as rewards structure no more lucrative.

Nice!!! What about existing card holders? Converted to another variant from Breeze?

Cashback debit card is available with normal accounts as well!? Platinum rewards card is good only if you want to keep it just for availing those 10/15% cashback offers from Flipkart/Amazon without paying any annual fees.

Amex fees Rs.5200 second year onwards for normal customers. Can be compensated with BMS offers if the offer runs for whole year, but it is no longer the case. And its acceptance is still limited. HDFC having some strange criteria, always rejects my application https://cdn3.desidime.com/assets/textile-editor/icon_sad.gif

They simply stopped breeze banking credit card.

There were too many cards so I stopped platinum rewards. Manhattan has fees plus who hold super value titanium cannot go for it.

Manhattan is for departmental stores & after transaction cap it is no more lucrative. More so when I tried for years back, conditions of not issuing Two cashback cards (super value titanium & Manhattan platinum) together came in between.

I have separate cards for depart shopping. Even indusind platinum aura with home plan is good.

Rs . 500 cap per month is not a deterrent as very few will be crossing that limit for groceries and all.

Indusind platinum aura too!! 20+ cards?

@A2Zdeals what’s the minimum income criteria for citi now. Any way to get the rewards card without having to open an account with them?

Anything new in that spar offer?
Availed just once and had to do a lot of follow up to get this benefit around two years ago. Credited after 2 months. Never tried agin.
Manhattan card is better as cashback(on Rs.1000+) can be availed after 2 days after transaction. Anyways dont shop at Spar as there is not much discount and Bigbasket and Amazon being used for most of grocery purchases.
