I personally use Rufus to make Bootable drives. Persistent storage is what you need to make sure is there.

Any recommendations for a live os which will support the drivers?

Edit- plus @guest_999 @Jarvis.-. @Faug  there's some confusion, pc 1 having windows has scanner drivers and is connected to it. Now instead of using this pc, some live bootable os needs to be used in a cd/usb with that scanner. The drivers are windows based afaik. Of what i remember there used to be a fork which allowed to install these drivers thru persistent usage in a bootable os and then use the scanner. What is the name of that bootable os that will let one do it? Windows on the go will help?

Any live cd/dvd typically has the option of adding printer just like normal installed version has, only thing is that added driver will disappear after reboot so need to do same procedure again every time you boot via live cd/dvd/usb unless you make it persistent image version which can then save any changes/modifications done between each reboot.

If you already have the drivers installed in your PC, the easiest is to create a "Windows To Go" USB using the latest WinToUSB software with the "Physical to USB" option.
Else, use NTLite software to create your custom iso with whatever drivers you want and then create a "Windows To Go" USB using the WinToUSB or Rufus.

wait we have to copy drivers from the existing windows to windows to go or can we just create a bootable copy of windows to go and then use a say pendrive to install those drivers in that copy?
