Ev is not environment friendly for now, as per news.
So, green ev and maybe other alternatives like green hydrogen, ethanol will be available in coming 3-4 years.
And as the production increases price decreases.

And refering fire news in ev scooter grimacing, i would say, wait for a while.

One single Ola scooter has caught fire. Thousands of petrol vehicles catch fire every year. Thousands.

There are quite a few. Recently I came across Ampere Magnus used by our postman. He paid ₹85000 for it in Karnataka. The scooter looked good and while it is fairly new at the moment, he claimed to be getting ~80 km range.

Nexon EV comes with only 2 airbags. It doesn’t have side or curtain airbags. In addition, Tata removed vehicle stability control which is a vital safety feature. It is present on the petrol and diesel Nexons but has been removed from the EV to cut costs. Even cruise control has been removed. Even the automatic transmission does not have any P or park option. You have to leave it in neutral with the hand brake on! Most people assume Nexon EV is 5 star rated and thus safe. That rating is not applicable to the EV. It is for the petrol and diesel Nexon. Many would argue that it is the same structure but crash test ratings don’t work that way. That’s why Tata never says the EV is 5 star rated. As an example, MG ZS petrol got  3 stars in UK but the EV, built on the same platform got 5 stars.

In addition, Nexon EV it is 5 stars on GNCAP (global) crash test. That test is for developing countries and is very lenient. Most vehicles scoring 5 stars there won’t even get 2 stars on developed country tests like EuroNCAP or US IIFHS. MG ZS EV has scored 5 stars on EuroNCAP which is far more strict.

Many people get carried away by made in India tag. In fact, practically all components on the Nexon EV including batteries, motor, controller, AC DC converter etc are from China. Nexon also has a lot of issue which you can easily find on various forums. One of them is the tendency to suddenly switch to N or neutral while driving. This is known as the D2N error. It can be dangerous as it can and has led to accidents. There are several other issues as well but this post would get too long.
