With 750 cibil score you don’t have good chances of getting an unsecured card. Increase score to at least 780 & then apply for sbi simplyclick card by visiting local sbi branch in your area(preferably having your sbi acc) & apply on the basis of a genuine itr of at least 3 lakh & you should be able to get it.

I have already simply click secured. I want an unsecured credit card on the basis CIBIL score. My income is under the exemption limit.

I am very new to this thing. Can anyone help, how to know cibil score without getting spammed with messages. Last time I checked on some website, they sent so many messages.

Don’t ICICI offer pre-approved amazon pay if a customer has existing platinum card.

You can use your bank netbanking section (icici has this ) or try official website .. afaik i haven’t received any spam call as of now..

Actually i applied by myself, before getting the fd based card.. when the verification guy came he demenaded 3 months salary slip.. but i had only one and Moreover he insisted on reply via personal email to job verification mail.. i should have replied with official email id.. hence my application got rejected.. after 10 days i got another call from icici credit card department , he said sir we are offering you amazon cc ,then he asked for basic details like salary n all ,but after when i informed him i have only 1 month salary slip ..he told he will contact later, and till now he never called again sad

How long did you use platinum credit card, do you have account in ICICI bank. My friend had old customer of icici, maintained a decent balance. He got directly pre-approved amazon pay card directly though call. For self Employed it is very difficult to get an unsecured card unless you file ITT at least 3Lakh. I believe It all depends upon bank if they  willing to offer card on basis basic KYC docs.

Even if your income is under exemption limit(less than 2.5 lakh) you should still file itr & use that after your cibil score crosses 780.

Register here, it is a cibil promotional offer for hdfc bank customers but recently they were not checking that so anybody could register.

Nowadays because of heavy misuse of amazonpay card, ICICI has made verification process for this card very strict. If you are a salaried person then only apply for this card after having at least 3-4 months salary slips & preferably an official email id(not gmail, yahoo etc). Another way is to have an unsecured icici credit card of at least 40-50k limit which is at least 1 year old & then you should be able to generate amazonpay card instantly on the basis of that card.

See my above reply, you won’t get amazonpay card if you are self employed with less than 6 lakh itr & not an old customer of icici bank. I got an unsecured credit card from sbi based on the basis of my savings acc balance for last 6 months(1 lakh+) but its limit was only 25k which is not enough to get another card on its basis(for getting card-on-card basis without income proof/itr you need at least 30k limit non fd based credit card). I did however get another unsecured card with 40k limit on the basis of my cibil score & savings acc statement from another place.

At least you got unsecured from SBI. SBI usually don’t issue credit card easily. 30 K limit would be suffice for me if I am offered unsecured card. Currently I am using a simplyclick card. I like this card as  most of e-commerce sites bring discounts on SBI card + 5~10 RP. My friend is a shopaholic he shops often from my card & I get rewards points in return.

As per comments here & in my own experience, sbi cards are one of the easiest to get compared to hdfc, icici & axis.

They do if cibil score is not much & applicant doesn’t have an old/good relationship with bank.

Because I do some international transactions using paypal & it has the lowest forex markup charge of 1% compared to 3.5% on most other cards not to mention it was the only unsecured card that was getting approved only on the basis of your cibil score & bank acc statement with no income proof required.

Closing card after how long? Some say at least one should keep using card for at least 1 year.

It depends on how many cards you have, how old are they & what is their limit. e.g. if some one is closing their oldest card with a low limit but getting a new card with much higher limit then that is much better compared to closing an older card with higher limit & getting a newer card with lower limit. If you only have one card then it is better to at least use it until you get another card. Closing a fd based card is better than closing an unsecured card.

SBI yono app is sbi bank app & has nothing to do with sbi credit card other than having the feature of adding sbi credit card for checking some details. Once your card no. is generated you should receive an email on the registered email id with sbi card & then you can create an acc on sbi card website using the card number in email or in sbi card app.

It depends on whether the card is secured(against fd, usually 1 verification call only) or unsecured in which case whether you have shown yourself as salaried(usually 1-2 verification calls) or self employed(these get at least 3-4 verification calls). Only after the last verification call the process proceeds & card number is usually generated within a week.
