My plan is to load the main balance with BSNL's full talktime offer using Rupay 20% discount. Will it work?

Demon_slayer Yes, it ought to (work for STVs like 107₹).
Unless a plan/offer is specific to Grace Period 2 (GP2 referes to the time period starting after 7 seven days from the date of STV/PV ending) the usual metgod to purchase using mail balance works fine.
For example, https://www.bsnl.co.in/opencms/bsnl/BSNL/services/mobile/prepaid_plans_new23022018.html the ₹1499 plan is discounted to cost ₹1199 during grace period two. Obviously this cannot be activated from main balance, even if main balance is there on the number (since outgoing service validity is unavailable in GP2).

It's not working. Can anyone suggest another way to recharge for 1198 plan using main balance

yes i aldo did same way ..recharge with 500rs get full talktime 500rs and then use *444*1198#
