It's confirmed - Closed kotak 811 now can be reactivated
So dimers go for it and have a zero balance lifetime kotak 811 account.
Steps:
- Download kotak 811 application or open through web
- Open a new account
- Enter your mobile number and mail addresss (OTP)
- Enter your pan card and aadhar number
- Now confirm details
- Upload photo of pan card, selfie, photo of signature
- Go for video kyc
- After successful vkyc your account details will be SMS mailed to you.

Note while selecting multiple options avoide physical debit Card selection to avoid chargs. Select minimum options.

My account is closed long ago for not completing full kyc..
1.just tried to open the account
2.after entering the aadhar otp.. displayed " mobile number doesn't match with aadhar"
3.but Got a message that...ekyc is successful..
4.entered aadhar linked mobile and verified with otp..
Now it's showing "
You seem to have reached us outside working hours. Please revisit us on a working day between 9:00am-7:00pm to complete the video KYC"
I Will try it in working hours..

I had a Salary Account in Kotak. It's closed a long time ago. Last year, when I tried to open Kotak 811 account, I couldn't because of "existing customer" message.
My question is - Did anyone get success in opening Kotak 811 account this time, despite being a non-Kotak 811 account (closed) holder earlier?
Any offer / benefits for starting 811. Phonepe / gpay coupons were provided earlier. Anything as of now?
I finished video kyc 2 hrs back. And logged into kotak app through SMS verification but whenever i click on any feature like account overview or kotak 811 button. It says contact branch this feature is currently unavailable for you
