Jio stopped Top Ups
which is the cheapest plan to keep number active? no calls, no internet nothing needed. can we recharge with topup after recharging with a plan?
does jiophone sim work in normal phones? how to find if sim is normal sim or jiophone sim?
is vi and chortel also doing the same? please suggest an operator which has some vfm plan for keeping number active?

Yes you can use the jio sim of jio phone in any Android device but the recharge of jio phone will not work on Android device and you will need to recharge other plans for Android device

Because of jio you are not using 1gb per month but 1gb per day. You should open you mouth wide open and let jio pour his OIL in it.

2 days before I was recharged my jio number for 10 rupees on which plan is expired in October month.
I think it's app specific.
Mobikwik was allowing recharge.

no calls no sms needed? then shift to vi they r broke enough that they r not disabling sims even after 90 days 😝 bt u can recharge with 99 pack every 3 months and keep no active....i use 279 for 90 days in vi (only for limited circle) for one number its a great plan if available

update- tried recharging a jio number with 149 plan from apay but order is getting cancelled automatically after sometime. is it necessary to recharge only thru their website?

Most probably jiophone already has prime other wise u would not get the sim anyway nobody sells without recharging prime
To check that login to jio.com and check statement, prime status would show there in plan details

all jio numbers irrespective of recharge amounts are going to pending state and are getting auto cancelled later if payment is done thru apay. is anyone facing the same? if number is recharged thru jio.com and apay is selected a wallet then it is going through. say recharge value is 100, apay wallet has 80 then on jio.com can the balance be paid thru card?
Edit- jio has removed small data packs like 1gb, 2gb etc. for most circles

All topus and data voucher without validity like 15, 25 removed long time ago from jio app and website.
3rd party apps do not allow to recharge for data vouchers but allow topups.. I tried with Mobikwik and Amazon too.
And it could be number specific.
I am sharing my experience.

Seems like there's a short grace period of sorts during which topups are allowed. SV expired in one no. on the 24th but could topup twice today but not in another no. in which SV expired on the 8th of this month.

logged into mobikwik few days back after 5-6 years as someone mentioned in this thread that mobikwik allows top ops. It didnt but since that day getting 20-40 spam messages, loan credit cards etc., each day. Used this pathetic app only twice years back to recharge a number. Any idea how to delete full account from this app? Their customer support is not replying.

After 8 years, I reactivated my account to take advantage of a credit card bill payment offer. Despite knowing that data privacy is a rare commodity in this day and age and that Mobikwik has already experienced data leaks, I have not received any calls or communication from them.
Maybe My Experience is Quite different
Just a quick tip - if you want to avoid receiving spam calls, you can enable FULL DND across all your Telecom Operators and use Google Dialer. To do this, go to your Google Dial settings and enable Caller ID & SPAM, as well as Filter SPAM Calls. Additionally, if you're an Airtel user, you can report and block SPAM Calls via the Call Manager option on the Airtel app. These are the only methods available to you to prevent spam calls.

For Vi, you will get a week of incoming and sms after your pack expires. You will not get incoming and sms if you don't recharge. But they will randomly activate incoming for a week sometimes. Give you free data every now and then.
Incoming has been reduced to 3 days in many circles. Occasionally a Rs 10 topup has restored IC SMS in the last few months but only in a few nos. In my home circle nos. IC SMS is still delivered after SV expiry.
