Jio to charge 6 paise/minute for non jio calls from 10/10/19.
As per a notice put on www.j...om, non jio calls are going to be charged at 6 paisa/minute with effect 10/10/19. So if you make lot of calls from jio number, recharge it today so that you get the old plan. Make sure to get the old plans which have validity till 1/1/2020 as that is the date when the IUC charges may become zero as per a TRAI circular and no 6p/minute charges would need to be paid.
Wait for some days.
I don’t think AVOID will be kept quiet after jios policy change.
They also will introduce new plans to get more revenue.
Last minute used my main jio balance
It was a long overdue call. A great step by Jio and I think others should follow. Jio’s plan for unlimited call was not viable at all as it was choking network of other operators too. Companies cant do charity all the time and it needs to be corrected. More and more job losses are seen in telecom since Jio came due to their cheap tariffs. I mean until when you keep providing from your pocket to lure more and more customers.
BSNL got worst hit with Jio entry. Yes Jio saved a lot of money to people but on the other hand it is making dents to whole sector and fair game should always be there. The overall lending to telecom sector stands at 5.9 Lakh crores and whose money is this? If they fail to repay it is only general public which is going to suffer. This is business cycle. You have all the rights to recover your investment and repay your loans.
I think they come up with FTT soon and keep call charges to 10p/min. Telecom sector needs continuous money for upgradation and for cheaper tariffs customers can only get worst of service.
The miss call model adopted by customers of other operators was bugging me too as it was giving loss to Jio but now I am happy they corrected it. Some people love to misuse unlimited and there should always be a fair usage policy to stop misuses.
I hope increase in tariff help BSNL put back Landline and Broadband business back on track. There are rumors that Finance Ministry is in mood to close BSNL/MTNL but it wont happen soon or may never be. As I always say we cant afford to have just 2-3 operators to cater a country of 1.38bn people. So Jio should think only about 40-45% market share not a monopoly.
The next one which should be corrected back is the mess created in DTH industry

Don’t worry, you won’t have to pay for iuc since you already recharged before 10th.

So you need to have an active plan + one of these iuc packs? I.e 149+ iuc? Or is only IUC enough?

Still not showing my 98 and 149 plan vochers in my jio app.

Mere pass nearly total 40 plan vochers teh, 98 aur 149 Mila ke.
I talked to CC, they said it’s due to a technical problem. Bhagwan bachaye kya bakchodi hai.
Baki Bhai, ek baat तो pakka hai khaa nahi sakte. Either they will have to refund them or Will give them back.

After new tariff, its better to switch to other network, as effective price of jio is almost same as airtel, Vodafone idea, at least they don’t charge 6p/min. Also jio removed full talk time plain, why to use jio slow internet by giving almost same money like airtel, Vodafone?
