I dont get the negative outlook towards cc. If the cc is LTF I dont think there should be any problem as long as u fulfill one and only one condition ie you are of sound financial mind (which translates to knowing ur spend limits and being aware of ur finances at any time). If you are an impulsive buyer cc is a big no no.

Now the pros:
1. CC earn u reward points(some dc do too but cc in general are more rewarding) , hence extra money/ rewards for ur spends
2. Since u spend from CC, ur bank balance stays there for the month, earning u interest till u have to pay cc bill
3. You improve ur cibil score with timely bill payments
4. Can purchase items at EMIs/No-cost EMIs without burdening ur wallet
