Laptop advice

Hi guys,

Just bought a Lenevo ideapad i3 11th gen laptop from Flipkart having 512 gb ssd, 

I just need it for normal/occasional home use so just wanted to know that should i partition the SSD     and is it fine if i dont use it for 1-2 months continously or is it like that i have to use it Atleast once in some days so its good? 

Need advice since im not aware about laptops things that much. (also pls letme know about any other things that needs to be done)
