18/12/2019 : On the due date for my payment of ₹77, I made the payment via lazypay web interface but it failed (money deducted from my account). I again tried to repay the amount but it failed again (probably a technical glitch from your side).

19/12/2019 : ₹10 was added to my dues as late payment fee. On same day, I received communication from lazypay that they have received my payment of ₹77 twice and hence ₹77 will be reversed to original payment method. Please note that both these payments were done by me on 18/12/2019 only as lazypay allows payment of final amount including late fee. Had I tried payment on 19/12/2019, system would have allowed a payment of ₹87 (₹77+₹10 late fee) only and not ₹77.
I also made a purchase on swiggy via lazypay of ₹62.

22/12/2019 : I requested for reversal of late payment fee.

24/12/2019 : Received mail from ‘[email protected]’ as ‘We request you to clear your total oustanding amount so that we can waive off late payment charges’

27/12/2019 : As lazypay system showed only final amount including late fee to repay (₹62+₹10) hence I replied back to ‘[email protected]’ asking for explanation as, ‘Please explain clearly, how much amount should I pay. Also please call me so that I could get a clear picture of my account’.

04/01/2020 : No reply was sent to me and a late fee of ₹10 was further added.

06/01/2020 : I again replied to my previous emails to [email protected] as ‘Late fee is piling up in my account. I am not going to clear the due till I get a call from lazypay.
Call me’
No reply was made to me and late fee kept poling to reach ₹102.

31/03/2020 : I again mailed for waiver of late fee.

01/04/2020 : Received mail that late fee has been waived but on checking found that dues still shows ₹72 with a late fee of ₹10 against my purchase of ₹62 on 19/12/2019

02/04/2020 : Requested for waiver of late fee but received a reply denying my request.

Since then ₹10 is being added daily in my dues as late fee and they are denying to waive it.

I sent this mail to [email protected]

Credit card is a business of headache if you don’t repay on time.
So repay first, ask refund later.

Lazypay is not CC. That’ why it is headache.
Lazypay is credit service by Citrus/PayU. And their profit is from late payment charges mostly.

Avoid these loan apps as much as possible (Lazypay, FK Pay Later, Ola Postpaid Plus, Mobikwik Zip cash ..)
My CIBIL score gone down* by 12 points because of one new loan account created by IDFC First (for Flipkart PayLater)

But lazypay doesnt ask for PAN on signup , so it wont affect CIBIL as such (atleast it didnt ask for me )

@bip100 Pay the whole outstanding amount till now as early as possible and focus on your Target/Aim. In future, you will get many opportunities to earn money. Take this incident as a lesson and keep in mind what @getready said above.

You should have paid Late Fee of Rs.10 first and then argued for waiver. Instead now penalty kept pooling up. Now they won’t forgo it.
