Good news
They were not closing my lazy pay account only
Now they will get close
Fintech Kissht and PayU’s LazyPay are among the apps that India’s IT Ministry has blocked in the ongoing crackdown as New Delhi moves to curb the misuse of consumers’ data and protect the nation’s integrity.

Back to the usual business again. Whenever there's a crisis / bad PR, banning apps is the solution.
The ministry’s move was prompted at the direction of the Ministry of Home Affairs, state-owned broadcaster Prasar Bharati said on Sunday. The apps sought to mislead customers into taking big debts without realizing the terms and there were concerns that they could be used as tools for espionage and propaganda.
All BS, another blind ban. NASPERS LTD, LazyPay/PayU's* parent company (SA Origin) got a significant stake in chinese tencent (Already banned in India)

Not really correct. And it is definitely not blind. Out of 6 people working at my dad's office, 4 have already fallen into this trap of 'express' loan.
These apps are using all sorts of their options to play the word game to anyhow not use the word 'loan'. Lazypay uses 'xpresscash', Cred uses 'cred cash balance' and so on. Cred has literally replaced the word 'loan' with 'cash'. Cred periodically sends msgs that you've access to cred cash balance of 5 lakh or something. In their entire message of 40+ words, they do not mention 'loan' anywhere. Infact, in their FAQs, Cred actually has a question 'how is cred cash better than a regular personal loan'!
I'm sure you'd already know this, but see these screenshots of 'cred cash' scheme & try to find the word 'loan', even though RBI guidelines require clear mention of word 'loan' and its type:
People from tier-3 cities & towns don't really always have good English or financial quotient to understand these gimmicks, and they fall for these easily. 6 guys in my dad's office, all aged 25-30 work as delivery boys. And 4 have fallen into this loan trap assuming its instant cash (or cashback) for them! I know this is weird & apps do show EMIs info as well, but these guys are all not very educated as well, some even Hindi medium govt school dropouts, so they miss important info which is sometimes hidden from plain sight. None of them needed the money as such, but somehow they just thought its free cash for them and applied. And there would be hundreds of such cases, with no police cases filed at all.
Only issue I have is: Why ban only 1-2 such apps, and not all that are functioning in this space, atleast the ones with improper/unethical marketing?
Dhani not banned yet? It should be banned

You got to believe what you got to believe. I can post 10 paragraphs why this is blind using BNPL, "loan" reference and the consequences of missing deadlines and getting into EMIs but it is of no use
EDIT: There are literally 6 "loan" references under LazyPay's XpressCash portal (Including URL)
Let your dad's colleagues know that they're idiots and don't deserve to be using online services (Shopping/Loans). If not today, some time soon they gonna get into trouble for ignoring something very significant
Lazypay pp is still available on play Store
How to close SI CREVA capital loan .. i think it came from ring app

Mailed them so many times to close account but they don't close.
Any update about uni?
One Card also started Onecash.

Google received the order for banning (removing) approx 200 apps related to loan, online game gambling etc. from Play Store from MEITY.

Damn right.
Idiots always find a way to blame others for their own stupid actions. If idiots think that apps will give them cash for free, then they deserved to be fooled by these polished launguage apps offering them loan. They aren't gonna get any sympathy from me.

Bhai "You got to believe what you got to believe" will not change the truth.
And they're idiots? For what? They couldn't have the education & facilities you & me had? They're working as delivery boys who are NOT well educated, not at all very verse with ENGLISH language, let alone financial knowledge. They don't know what is significant in those small letters... Is that why they are idiots? May be, but don't try to take high ground & decide for others what they deserve and what they not. You might not have that perspective, doesn't mean everyone else also has to be blind.
These apps clearly defy RBI guidelines on properly naming their loans just because they're guidelines. Why use fancy terms like cred cash or xpresscash and why not add 'loan' in that sentence? Moreover, many people, even of dd, are facing issues while closing their accounts once opened, shows a lot about these companies' intentions.
And just because just because I've put some points which do not fit in your thinking, doesn't mean you still have to cringe & call other less fortunate people as idiots or whatever you wanna label them. But you're in a free country. Even though you can think of deciding who deserves what, those people or nobody is clipping your rights. Infact, those people actually look upto the likes of you, who are more educated, to help them out in such situations.
offer ke naam ke kata hai bus, never got razorpay cashback or any kind
