Great we shan’t feel shy to pay more for lemons. It helps towards development. I feel the lemon price is still cheap, it should be atleast sold at Rs.10000 per KG.

partly because of inflation and partly due to reduction in cultivated lands that are turning into real estate plots.

It has less to do with inflation and more due to lower production and shifting towards more easy to do agricultural products

Bro my reply is based is on what I have seen in last 5 years in my rural area. People here were growing wheat bajra and lemons … Then suddenly someone tried genetically modified pomegranate according to soil requirements. Almost 50 % farmers started it seeing their high prices as high as 450rs per kg . It continued till 2-3 years . This year the price dropped and pomegranates were sold for 25rs kg. And lemons reached 300 smile

what happened to the grown lemon trees? Are they still there or chopped off?

In my place the life of lemon tree is 10-15years. So it cannot happen all of sudden. Thats my point.

Bro just google the reason , you would find multiple articles mentioning the reason.

Lemons rates started decreasing but will stay to some extent as its summers .

In the last 2 years bought lemons for Rs 10 everytime 10 to 15 pieces .
But this month it has reached to Rs 10 for a single small lemon .
Thankfully its steadily from last 2 days selling Rs 10 for 2 lemons and Rs 20 for 5 lemons and size is also comparatively bigger than last 20 – 25 days.
But summers so cant expect older prices for as of now.

Well, some reasons could be inflation and all, but mostly it’s just because of land being reduced for agriculture.
