Used 1 year back and still battery is present. Good alternative to regular battery.
Let's talk- is anybody using rechargeable batteries AAA or AA?

I have seen some options available in market prominent brands like Eveready, duracell, etc.
Has anyone tried using them for remotes, clocks etc? Or still struck at old school zinc carbon or alkaline batteries.
How do you dispose old school batteries safely ? As they cause fire at dumps due to degradation and temperature changes.
How long rechargeable ones last in comparison to old school ones if using?

Price purchased?
Brand ?
Purpose of usage?
If Recharged, how many times?
Recharging holder/case received along?
Use regular alkalines battries in remotes... or any low current applications .. The are cost effective and last year + easily
rechargables use in high current/drain stuffs likes toys, lights, BP monitor machines etc..
Using Ikea Ladda & Panasonic Eneloop
Do you remember prices you paid for rechargeable ones?
Using Envie rechargeable batteries for my fire TV stick remote since 2018. One single charge is enough for a month or so. Lifetime is more approx 2 to 2.5 yrs. Fan and AC remote still works on alkaline batteries as these are for seasonal use only. Duracell or alike runs easily for 2 season.
Purchase price for envie?
depends on your usage buddy. my 6 year old eneloops are still going strong.
Price you paid?
Been using Duracell & Eveready regular alkaline batteries for long mostly for regular uses ( tv, ac, firestick remotes, alarm clocks etc). They generally last a year or so depending on their usage. Also have a few Panasonic rechargeable batteries for toys, motion sensor lights etc. Recently got a pack of Energizer batteries both triple & double a ones. Been using them for a couple of months now.
Faced leakage in duracell batteries which resulted in further damage to equipments.
So I don't trust duracell anymore
mine is Working from last 8 years , bought godrej AA batteries from ebay.in that time, now ebay is not serviceable in India but my batteries are still working.
Wasn't aware of godrej presence since that long in market. Thanks
Using rechargeable aaa (900 mah) from the past 3-5 years for mouse and remote, aa (1300 mah) from this year for handwash machine and bp monitor.
All duracell.
Bhai tum so rahe ho ki uth gaye
I got 8 Eveready rechargeable batteries in 2015 and still running very well!
Used them everywhere possible!
Bought some cheap Panasonic rechargeable Ni-Mh AAA batteries from AliExpress back in the day. Didn't expect much quality from them. But they are working great till now without any issue whatsoever.
I use it everywhere, keyboards, mouse, clocks (with adaptor AAA to AA), fan remote etc. They last pretty long except in Logitech Bluetooth Keyboard K380 where they last only 2-3 weeks maybe. Also these low capacity batteries around 680 mAh if I remember correctly. So higher capacity would certainly help in this scenario.
Will definitely buy higher capacity. Thanks
Had envie 1000mah x 4 and 2800mah x 4, brought from pepperfry a decade back. I don’t remember exactly but costed around 200-300₹ for each set. They no longer perform well, but still I like to use them on toys.
Maybe unrelated, but just some spurts of thoughts:
Live in a metro city, very minimal powercuts in non summers. Maybe just 2 times in past 6 months. However had some outages during summers past 3 years. 2-3 hours no power on a sudden odd hot day, even some consecutive days. We suffered a lot during cyclone aamphan in 2020. Now this rare power cuts had made our inverter batteries get damaged and we never remember to charge the emergency lamps, mostly they get useless during the rare power cuts as we never bothered to charge them. 2 years back I decided to get few aa powered led lamps. Got two usb fans as well. Have detachable solar light in few spots in verandah. Now if power goes off on a sudden blue moon, at least we will have enough lights and fan on powerbank to keep the kid and elders well.
And oh! I invested in some good Panasonic eneloop RC batteries, which has very long shelf life, and honestly they stay mostly on the shelf unused.
Useless spend? Yes. Reason: Pease of Mind
Your comment gave me idea to use them at other places as well. Thanks
Rechargeable batteries are best for Bluetooth remote n toys, aka anything that depletes battery fast.
Not effective for wall clock causes uneven movement.
Not worth for infrared remotes as you may not be able to recover cost.
Reasonable comment.
I know it depends on charge/discharge cycles but what's the avg life of a rechargeable battery ?
High capacity ones: LADDA rechargeable batteries can up to 500 times.
LADDA rechargeable batteries 2450 mAh give you approximately 30 percent more operating time than LADDA 1900 mAh.
IKEA LADDA is the best option. Used to be rebranded Panasonic Eneloop, regarded as the best in the industry. They changed packaging recently so not sure if it's still true, but I've got old and new ones and they all work beautifully.
Bought random Envie brand batteries on Amazon to save a few rupees and they leaked within a year. Ruined my electronics.
IKEA all the way now. Just checked the description and country of origin is still Japan, so maybe still Panasonic.
Anything that is able to use an alkaline battery for a couple of months, I don't bother with rechargeable for. Something that could need replacing batteries in less than a month? I switch to rechargeable cells. All my game controllers are on rechargeable cells for example. The alkaline cells last about 40 hours total, so it made sense to get rechargeable ones for them. Keyboards, mice, tv remotes, they all last months on alkaline, you wouldn't get your money back using the rechargeable ones.
In terms of life, I'm still using 5 year old amazon basics and eneloops for my controllers. Still last me about 20 hours on a full charge.
Wasn't aware about amazon selling rechargeable batteries. Thanks
I am using Duracell, Envie, and Eveready rechargeable cells.
Quality of Eveready is worst in these, 3 out 4 are leaked.
Rest are performing good.
What about warranty mentioned on battery?
Do you get replacement?
try amazon basics battery, both rechargeable and non rechargeable. Last as long as duracell, pricing is a little cheaper
Will definitely gonna buy.
