Public should complete purchase of essential items by 6 pm and they should reach their residences. There will be curfew in the state from 7 pm. If anyone is found outside, police will initiate action," Rao said. Only essential shops will be open in red zones.

“Trains that ferried migrant labourers from Telangana on Tuesday are set to return on Wednesday from Bihar with workers desirous of working in the rice-mills. Close to 20,000 workers expected to come back from other states to Telangana,” Rao added.

Till date, 1,096 Covid-19 positive cases have been reported in the state, of which 628 patients were discharged. On Tuesday, 11 new positive cases have been reported. There are 439 active cases in the state at the moment.

Anyone in Telangana knows how to initiate a complaint against violators? It’s so annoying to watch how easily people keep violating rules.

There are barricades set up in an area near our home marking it as a containment zone, it’s just the lane next to our home. People happily made a small gap in it and are moving from both sides. I have been tweeting repeatedly marking GHMC, Cyberabad commissioner, Mr. KTR and Telangana CM office but no one seems to either fix the issue nor respond.

What’s the point of containment zones and extended lock down if it isn’t implemented well.

How about taking pictures of these covidiots and tag the relevant authorities? (KTR team is pretty active on Twitter)
Remember people used to post pictures of Parking violations and Footpath violators .. followed by swift action from the authorities (Bangalore*)

Will do so man. A tweet without a pic doesn’t seem to get attention. When I go to get milk tomorrow morning I shall record either a video or take a pic.

Sit tight at home. No need to be a vigilante at this time. The sooner you reach home, the better it is for all in your family. Don’t try to control others, control yourself first. Imagine yourself clicking a photo of somebody, at that very moment you are engaged in some not so important activity according to third eyewitness person. Finish your shopping ASAP and go home. Don’t add more chaos by tweeting pictures. The person who will respond to your pictures has every right to stay out of mess. He too has his own family. So why put somebody else’s life at risk so that the life of the buggers roaming around willingly could be saved. Ignore those idiots. Don’t become the part of chaos loop. Vent out your anger at home, or from home – khidki se chilla do chaahe toh.. 😁

Do you even realise how silly you sound bro? Being a vigilante? It’s being a responsible citizen. We are fighting a pandemic here and can’t put the whole blame game on government and just sit it out.

Areas are marked as containment zones for a reason, it’s to contain the spread to that specific region and to ensure it doesn’t spread to surrounding areas. If people keep violating it you would rather opt to stay silent and do nothing about it? Kudos!

It takes two to make a crowd. Longer you stay out there, you may invite another vigilant, responsible citizen to check out what you were doing out there and the chain will continue. Why bring another person’s manhoosiyat (jinx) to your own life? Let him have his own repercussions to his own actions. Simply why bring his share of turmoil to ur life. Its pandemic situation where we need to stay invisible. Stay out only to the minimum time possible, why get diverted and stay longer? When police arrives at scene, some people turn out just to check what did they miss. Will some other responsible citizen be not unsettled by those bystanders? Why start this butterfly effect?

If somebody was being killed/gangraped, would you still be thinking of clicking pictures. When violence is at play, that is the time when such active roleplays are required and at such time, responsible citizens hide. Its always the neutral scenes when most activists gather because they have nothing to lose and think somebody else is liable to respond. That is whole new level of call centre attitude to escalate the otherwise trivial situation.
So sorry that my thoughts sounded silly to your ears but do ask point of view of your family members who are sitting at home calculating how much extra time you took for shopping and how they felt about it. Namaste 🙏 hum nahin samajhte 😁 Khaao puri-khaste, hanste hanste

How about knowing about someone before being fallacious about your call centre attitude? Sorry to disappoint you, I am not of that lot, I will try to help in whatever rightful way I can irrespective of the scenario.

It’s again sheer negligence to comment about something without being aware of the situation. What started off as a single containment zone 1.5 km away now has a cluster of containment zones because people were irresponsible and people with mentality that you are showing now have been equally irresponsible to not report any wrongdoings.

What you find as Lakdi ka pool in the map is where it started and what you see as azeem towers is where we live, this was not even a containment zone just 2 weeks ago. The area under containment (Chintal Basti) has many maid servants coming in to colonies around and working each day because guess what? People are thinking for themselves as you are doing and not bothered about what happens to the maids as they are compelled to work and these maids sadly work in 4 to 5 houses each increasing the risk of spreading the virus even further. But who cares? We are sissies who can’t do anything and just sit and watch the fun happen, as, if we act we will increase the herd around. And yeah, my family has complete belief in the kind of behaviour I show including following all necessary measures to stay safe and keep others safe so they will not be worried about me taking an extra minute to stop some wrongdoing.

My area is centred by one of the largest cluster of containment zones in Hyderabad, feel free to check it for yourself by taking a look at Khairatabad in Hyderabad on http://covidhotsp...in

If people start being negligent and stay selfish for themselves then these containment zones will keep spreading with more cases. This is a whole new level of laziness, self centerdness and carelessness from a citizen.

Either assess the ground reality well or rather stay away from commenting random irrelevant stuff.

If they keep on increasing lockdown like this without any plan then there will be protest sooner than later.
So many people are in pain due to this lockdown and they cant sustain for longer.
What govt provided in releif is not enough for poor and they have completely ignored other class.
Everyone cooperation was there of lockdown because it was the right decision but they are doing testing at slow pace according to population of india and if it remains like this then they should open and we have to adapt to live with corona

There is no scientific proof that concludes social distancing results in lower cases.
It is just a theory.
In Sweden and Japan there is no strict lockdown, still case numbers are much lower
I suggest one should mind his own business, if there is a virus and if people are spreading the virus by not following the suggested rules their Karma will get them, you should chill.

That is the whole plan, to make poor/middle class and small businesses go out business and make them dependent on government for basic necessities so that they do as the government says.

Sweden’s self boasting & quest for herd immunity hides tragic statistics -

Sweden’s 2,586 deaths compare poorly with Denmark’s 452, and Norway’s 207. Taking population into account, Sweden has suffered more deaths per million people than the U.S

Sweden has seen 23,216 cases and 2,854 deaths from the coronavirus, a COVID-19 death rate of 279.98 per 1 million people.

Taiwan, New Zealand & Greece have had fewer cases because of effective lockdown & swift testing & quarantine

Well i am doing a comparison with worst hit countries even with a lockdown and not just neighboring countries.

And one should also factor in the deaths that normally happen during a time period in any country without any pandemic. If you research this data, you will get to know that, Virus has not killed any extra people, rather over all death rates have gone lower than in other years, in-spite of misdiagnoses in many countries, where if you even walk in with a fractured hand you will be diagnosed as a virus patient, while the opposite should have happened (normal deaths + so called pandemic deaths)

Thanks for bringing the points about Sweden and Japan out.

Sweden is experimenting by implementing or rather requesting elders and people with less immunity to isolate/stay at home and allowing others to go out. This way they are planning to build herd immunity and ensure the people having potential to spread will become immune to the virus eventually. That’s a partial lockdown to preventing the more fragile life from getting into danger.

It doesn’t work the same way in India as in western world where kids start living in a different home once they start earning. Isolating elders staying in same home isn’t feasible and especially in a nation like India where walking the whole perimeter of the home takes a few seconds, that’s how small our homes are compared to developed nations.

Source: https://www.japantimes.co.jp/opinion/2020/05/05...
https://www.nationalgeographic.com/history/2020...

As far as Japan goes, they have always been a role model for its citizens to be obedient unlike in our nations. They inculcate good habits and cleanliness right from school life where children are made to clean their bathrooms and toilets as well on a rotational basis. So no point comparing Indians to such an obedient bunch of people. It’s an ideal situation. As a society we all do the right things. Take care of things while keeping social distances, staying clean, keeping others around us safe (by masks et al). This is a self-regulated utopia which will not be possible in India.
Source: https://www.wsj.com/articles/japans-coronavirus...

And karma might get them if one is spreading the virus by being careless but it gets others too who are innocent and have been following the set guidelines.

All people are not acting in responsible manner.
Authorities have already said that there is penalty for not wearing masks.
Still many are going out without masks and no one is questioning them.
People are going for morning walks in groups here in red zones.
I guess, In India, rules are only for those who follow them.
People have became habitual of finding loopholes in everything.
If people dont behave, then forget about lifting of lockdown.
Situation in Mumbai-Pune looks like out of control.
I think people are now loosing their patience and started acting carelessly.
If you lift the lockdown right now and open up everything,
biggest disaster will happen for sure.
I guess things will not improve unless we obtain vaccine for corona.
