The Maharashtra FDA has cracked down on fast food giant McDonald's, slamming them for a cheesy deception -- using substitutes in burgers and nuggets instead of real cheese. 😢

Cheese has now become comparatively much much cheaper.

Still these shitty brands can't provide it. They provide [palm oil + milk=mayonnaise+ cheese flavour artificial] in the name of cheese. Shame.

Problem is third party vendor corrupt in India. I don't think other countries have such problem.

Everywhere big companies give contract to 3rd party vendors & don't even bother to check quality control, these things happen.

Nobody can supply fake cheese to such brands without those brands wanting them. They've superior quality control. The only way this fake cheese can come in their stores is if they want to sell that only.

Problem is not the 3rd party vendor system, because they'll provide what they're asked, ofcourse they'll take the price for it. Problem is some har*mi Indian people trying to defraud their own fellow Indian people with zero regard to health, in conjunction with more har*mi Indian lawyers who ensure what words/language to write in menu to bypass the laws & not get any jail.

While I agree on the essence of the comment, but hygiene SOPs of these chains is really bad, have seen staff at Burger singh making burgers without gloves or mask.
Although this can occur with an international outlet as well,  but from past experience, the risk with indian companies is generally higher of such mishaps.

I handle sales for couple of companies dealing in Indian & Imported cheese, Indian and Imported cold cuts.

All the HORECA industry cares about are the prices. You have to go through the purchase guys, even at big hotel chains, before going to the chefs for approval.

Analog Mozzarella is good ₹40-50 per Kg cheaper than dairy Mozzarella.

The cakes one buys in normal bakeries are being made with analog whip creams which cost about ₹140/L. Imported whip cream is about ₹600/L.

Good 5 star hotel chains are buying chicken sausages in the range 180-220 per Kg. With chicken breast price around 220/Kg, imagine what the meat content is in these.

I know where I supply, happily consume there. But regular places I avoid processed food altogether.
