Hey, we own two manufacturing units in India. We have been manufacturing mobile phones in India since 2011 and will continue to do so. We’re #INForIndia with #INMobiles.Slightly smiling face
Micromax, Karbonn, Lava and others caught with their pants down when Jio suddenly introduced 4G.
Their huge inventory of 3G phones were obsolete almost overnight and they could not offload them. As a result, they all went out from market and their market share was eaten by Mi, Vivo and other Chinese brands who had stocks of 4G ready phones.
Look around, Samsung is dumping 4G mobiles (M30s. M21, M31, M31s) left, right and centre for a reason! 5G is almost here.
Micromax is back but the timing couldn’t be worse. I doubt they have 5G ready mobile stock. Once again, they will make the same mistake. You can’t sale phones only on gimmick (aatmnirbhar). Competitive and future proof products are crucial.
Sorry but 5G is not almost here.
Its easily around 1.5 to 2 years far away in India.
There was a brand called “Spice” right? What happened to them?

5g is very good for country like India with so much crowded people and congested network.
But thinking 5g will be available to masses in India is being very optimistic, on top of that 5g will cost more.
And lot of people don’t realise that the only reason 4g had so much impact here was because of Jio’s free data plan in starting and then way cheaper plans than 3g. If anyone thinks people were flocking to stores to buy 4g phones because of better tech they are being naive.
Better tech make things cheaper for a start.
Not always true. And during initial phases it’s almost always expensive.
That’s lovely to hear that
