Moneyback+ to Millennia

This worked for me & was a complete shot in the dark. Don't assume it'll work for you, but you can try.
All of this happened in a span of 10 days.
I've had a regular HDFC savings bank account for more than 2 years but that hardly helped much in getting me an upgrade. CIBIL never went below 775. With that, I also had MB+ CC since 2021 with a 30K limit. I also applied & got Rupay UPI in May 2023 with 30K as shared limit.
Since I'd been using Moneyback since 2021, I hoped HDFC will give me an upgrade or LE but they didn't budge. Requested them over calls & mail multiple times but they just wanted me to snailmail them docs which I won't do in a million years. I just needed something simple done digitally & nothing else, having been an old customer.
At last, I got fed up with them last month & decided to close all my cards which I requested. First I closed Rupay UPI because it was useless anyway. Rupay is trash & UPI over CC hardly worked enough for me to have it. It's a gimmick launched without a thought. NPCI seems to be launching so many gimmicks, dropping 10% barebones crap features in the market instead of working on one thing with 100% effort & usability. That was closed in March 4th week.
Then I initiated closure for MB+ & the retention guy asked the reason to which I said that there's been no upgrade. He asked me to wait for a month or two & the product team might give me something.
Initially I accepted, but because of my ongoing email convo with CC department, they showed that snailmail & docs is the only way they'll do something. So I asked them to close it ASAP.
On 4th April, all my HDFC CCs were closed officially.
HDFC has multiple hyperlinks through which CC applications can be initiated. I don't remember exactly the page on HDFC website from which I initiated mine but it def looked a bit different than normal HDFC UI. It was their official one but hidden somewhere. This was on 5th April
All the places where you'd normally find apply button, it showed me the same trash cards like IndianOil Rupay, MB+ etc but when I accidently found that link that I used, it took me to a similar looking but a little darker blue UI website to apply. When applied through this one, it surprisingly showed me Millennia as eligible & I applied instantly.
Since I have a bank account, it fetched most of my info automatically & didn't ask for KYC. It only needed verification via DC or NetBanking which I completed.
It didn't take any documents or my income number or anything other than the workplace details.
I didn't expect this new application to go this smooth but just after 3 days, one morning I received the virtual card with 1L limit over email & the physical card to be received soon.
No calls, no verification, no docs, nothing. So the overall process didn't need much effort other than me having to close the old cards which I was gonna close anyway & I got Millennia eligible only on through that unique link only a day after closing old cards.
The link, UIs etc I've mentioned, they're all on the official bank website only. It's just that their website is so vintage that it's got multiple places with the same thing.

Why is OP's Profile Deleted ?
😯
Or did he change his name?
What was the old mb+ limit
And what is the new millennia limit
Hdfc easily gives upgrade if limit is above 1 lacs. I am also stuck at mb+ as hdfc is not giving limit enhancement and ask me to continue to use my mb+
Does it make sense to convert diners privilege to millennia?
