Hello folks

i recently had some wallet cash in my airtel account so thought of utilising the same and pay my mseb bill . so i loaded 1881rs yesterday and then when i tried to pay my bill i saw :

YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN BLOCKED. ALL THE DEBIT TRANSACTIONS HAVE BEEN BLOCKED FOR THIS ACCT PLS CONTACT CC

i literally felt like banging bharti mittal’s head for this shitty app and service they r providing.called up the reps they told mail us the pan and aadhar card documents it will be done within 24hours. now after 24 hours also still my account is blocked
i wanted to pay my mseb bill urgently coz tomorrow is my due date. i hope so it would be done tomorrow anyhow or else again i will have to load this money and pay my bill. calling them from several hours still no response.

Can someone pls help me in this issue

You have reached the debit freeze. This is the case when your account can only accept payments but no debit allowed. This is a security measure by Airtel to curb the fraud. We should welcome this move. Me myself was victim of same and the urgency was the same as urs, needed to pay bill.

Be informed that
- providing ur pan card and adhar does not mean that your are doing kyc
- you will have to provide the statement from ur source for last 5 transactions (if you have loaded from CC, screenshot of the statement showing the card mumber, your name, transaction ID).

Providing information along with pan card and aadhar will revoke debit freeze within a day for sure(my case).

Else you will have to follow up every now and then.

Faced same issue, the cc guy went to an extent saying this blocking will happen to everyone shortly when I asked why only this number blocked when all other numbers are working fine. And the account was unlocked after around a month after sending multiple emails to them, where their mail box got full and mails bounced back irony is they suggest to upgrade to airtel payments bank, which appears to be the sole motive of blocking these wallets

I really don’t know why they put this debit freeze. but mine got released in one day upon sending them the PAN,AADHAAR and screeshot of netbanking where the wallet load did happened.

Anyway, even I was thinking of opening Airtel money account. Was just hesitating considering Airtel company reputation and personal experience. Now shall skip it. Can’t expect anything good from such fraud companies. It’s like proving ourselves to be a fool to trust them.
