Yes, too much fuss, they don't approve the self employed having home and office address as same... also ask for company sign board if you show a business...

I am self-employed. In my case, surprisingly they approved BOB Select after I submitted them ITR over email but only after a fight. I had savings account with them. No home or office address verification was done.
Initially, they denied the card saying incomplete docs yet never asked for any income docs. Plus I had not submitted the fully completed application yet they had done multiple CIBIL hard enquiries. When I asked why so many enquiries they said every time I open the credit card application page, an automated enquiry is done even if I did not finish applying for the card and was merely exploring which cards were applicable to me as per entered income and PAN.
I threatened to complain to RBI since they denied falsely claiming that my submitted docs were incomplete. How was I supposed to know they wanted ITR if they never asked for it? I immediately emailed them the docs - dunno if the RBI threat worked or submitting the docs but it was approved with a measly low limit of ₹25,000. Hope to get it increased soon now that 6 months are complete.
I used it a lot for getting big discounts on Licious app and flat ₹50 off when paying utility bills via Amazon.
Same process to me also and Verification person asked For money and I gave him(if not I thought he reject my application)
