Hi. I bought an Iphone 13 mini on Croma for 65K with 6K cashback offer with SBI Credit card on EMI transaction on 19.02.2022. I selected the EMI option during checkout and I got the sms from SBIcard too stating that they have received a request for Merchant EMI  conversion for the purchase of iPhone.

However, the card statement was generated on 20.02.2022, in which the whole amount is showing to be paid instead of EMI of 10K. When I contacted SBI Card over email, they’re saying that no flexipay/EMI plan active on my card.

So my query is, do I have to pay whole amount before due date? And will I get 6K cashback in this situation as EMI is not?

Merchant emi conversion takes time before due date it will be converted and pay according to that

I made a transaction of 69139₹ (72000 - no cost emi discount). Now i was charged. Merchant emi proc fee - 99₹ 1st emi - 11999₹ Interest on emi - 808₹ Cgst - 82₹ Sgst - 82₹ My queries - will 808₹ interest levies every month? I think this is a loss making thing, instead of 72k , i will end up paying 78k🥺 "@bikidas2060":https://www.desidime.com/users/...51 "@tappukepapa":https://www.desidime.com/users/1...68 "@xxxyyyzzz":https://www.desidime.com/users/1...17 "@Mayavi":https://www.desidime.com/users/...02 . Yes, you will be charged the EMI  every month and you will also have to pay GST on EMI amount.

Check the principal amount and the interest mentioned separately below the transaction details in the current statement. The total would be Rs 11,999 + GST. Don’t check the interest amount mentioned IN the list of transactions. It’s not added to the total amount due as it has already been added to the installment amount.

@kartikxxx he has answered your question. 11999 is inclusive of interest. Just gst is extra.

I got 48426 converted into EMI. Rest 20713 I have to pay upfront+ 1st EMI of 8403 which includes 564 rs interest. GST for the interest is to be paid @ 18%. Total interest I will pay is 1996  and 360 rs GST. But I got a benefit of 2860 rs upfront.
