Hi Dimers!
I had booked an international flight ticket on Paytm pre-lockdown. As all the international flights have been cancelled, I approached Paytm for refund but have not been getting any response from there team apart from the usual “We are working on your case and you will get the refund”. I have also escalated it to Grievance officer but to no avail. It’s been 2 months since this matter has been raised by me.
Looking for dimers experience / help in escalating the matter as the amount involved is close to 1 lakh

😱1 lakh
I don’t know anything about these situation but as you have also lodged complaint to grievance officer try on this site too
https://pgportal.g...n/
I was also facing the same issue around 1.5 lakh was stuck in international flight. Got the full refund except the convenience fee and insurance. Please file your complain on airsewa.gov.in
As per the latest guidelines from DGCA: https://dgca.gov.in/digigov-p...l/ customer will be getting the full refund on different situations. https://dgca.gov.in/digigov-portal/Upload?flag=...
Alternative to make your case strong mentioned that you have transfer to other city nd the airline is not operating from that city and it would be inconvenience for you etc…
Thanks. I thought we can only raise issues related to airlines with airsewa portal. When contacting airlines, they have told me to contact booking agent i.e. Paytm in this case. Can I lodge a complaint against Paytm at airsewa ?
Bhai, kaafee logo ka paisaa fasaa hai laakho mai. And these people do not refund.
Even if airline agrees to refund, we need to route through travel portal. And contacting travel portal executive js a huge challenge now a days….
We need to apply for long holiday, as call pai call karna padtaa hai.
Hello guys, I was not allowed to board a British airways international flight from Mumbai to Houston via London as I was told that only US citizens are allowed to travel from UK to US due to travel restrictions by the Government. I contacted British airways for a refund but since I had made the booking through cleartrip, I was told to contact them. On contacting cleartrip, they told me that the booking is non refundable and they can’t issue a refund and that I should have checked with the airline before booking. There was no mention about any travel restrictions on their website. Is there anything I can do?
you are supposed to check this before travel. unfortunately nothing can be done. btw, they didn’t allow to board the flight from Mumbai or from London?
Going through good OTA saved my money.
MMT, Ixigo (via Flipkart Flights) and Yatra (via SmartBuy) refunded my money.
MMT refunded almost immediately for international hotel booking.
Ixigo had to follow-up with Emirates so the process took time.
Yatra raised cancellation request themselves (nothing from my side) and refunded money in full!
I would suggest people who have got their money stuck, get in writing from the airline that they can refund or keep a credit shell.
If they suggest they can refund, press hard with your OTA that the airline is agreeing, so please proceed.
OTA matlab?
Update:
Finally, after 3 months and continuous followup with Paytm along with complaint to airsewa website, got the refund from Paytm. Of course, they didnot refund the convenience fees but still, this is better than nothing
Advice: Avoid Paytm like hell for booking tickets. I got attracted because of cashback but now realized that the cashback wasnot worth the pain to get refund back
Does anyone have any idea how much time it takes for refund after complain on flipkart? my British airways flight is cancelled because of covid and flipkart is asking for fare difference for rescheduling, which I though would be free
Even my 2.5lacs is with AirIndia from Feb’20
Airlines and Govt are cheating by not operating regular flights but operating only special flights at higher prices
