- A complaint shall be first raised with the relevant TPAP in respect to all UPI related grievances / complaints of the end-user customers on-boarded by the PSP Bank / TPAP (if the UPI transaction is made through TPAP app). In case the complaint / grievance remains unresolved, the next level for escalation will be the PSP Bank, followed by the bank (where the end-user customer maintains its account) and NPCI, in the same order. After exercising these options, the end-user customer can approach the Banking Ombudsman and / or the Ombudsman for Digital Complaints, as the case may be.

HI everyone,
My friend transferred amount of 25000 (made an error while transfering. Instead of 1234 he sent it to 2134) in June last year and raised complaint with bank A (acknowledged by signing on Request letter, Copy available). Bank A sent letter to Bank B to freeze the balance in the wrongly transferred account.
its been 8 months and refund is not received. he raised complaint in NPCI website but no request number is generated in order to check the status of the dispute.
whats the alternative for him in getting the amount refunded to his account.

They won't do anything unless the other party asks them to send it back. 30 days time period is just to make you forget or forego the amount. I transferred to one DD member by mistake and he never gave my money back. Complaint was useless. Bank manager also couldn't do anything about it.
But I also not able to get back my scammed money.
For any new number always transfer a token amount. Also cross check the name of receiver
I'm also interested in knowing how long these kind of cases take to resolve.
If the amount in the credited account is frozen, why does it take so long to refund it back to the sender?
Need go ahead approval from the wrong beneficiary.
Without his knowledge cannot reverse the transaction
No use, I transferred to wrong Id from Bajaj, raised chargeback request. They raised the complaint and after 30 days came back as, the other bank is saying the other person is not reachable so the request of chargeback is rejected . Now have raised the complaint to RBI. Let's see if anything happens but chances are very slim.
If transferred using upi then try to contact him. Still he is denying to refund your money, register a cyber complaint against him.
Raise concern with RBI.
