Shakuntalam Devi
Drishaym 1 and 2
Gajini is must watch. I liked it very much. Same for Chak De India.
Ghajini - good movie, prefer the original Tamil version pairing.
Bajirao mastani - your heart will bleed for Priyanka's character and would want hit both bajirao and mustang with bat, which obviously makes the climax fall flat because you have no sympathy for those two.
Ponniyin Selvan - 1 is a stunning visually appealing movie. A solid effort into turning several volumes of a novel into a movie but agree the screenplay could have been better. But Nandini is not a character you would want to miss, she is more than worth the watch.
Chak De! - is definitely worth the watch. Excellent movie for its time. There is just too many similar movies have come after it, making it seem not all that impressive.
- Unpaused - Haven't heard of it.
- Shikara - Haven't heard of it.
- Ponniyin Selvan Part 1 - Need to be a Tamilian to appreciate it. Don't watch it.
- DDLJ - Seen it 4 times in theatres - thrice at Maratha Mandir in Mumbai with various friends over the years. It is a classic and resonates with almost everyone. The songs are evergreen. Watch it.
- V - Isn't this a Hollywood one? If yes it is a classic though the theme can be a little heavy. If it non-Hollywood then I haven't heard of it.
- Maqbool - Over-rated. Don't watch.
- Thappad - Very simple premise but very well made and acted. Watch it.
- Newton - Interesting movie with brilliant acting by Rajkumar Rao. Need to be interested in current affairs or politics to appreciate it. Watch it.
- Shakuntala Devi - It is not bad, just alright. Don't watch it.
- Bajirao Mastani - Something's just off about the movie. Most females and Sanjay Leela Bhansali fans like it. Don't watch it.
- Raazi - Thriller based on a true story. Very rarely a movie is so well-made. Watch it.
- Mitron - Haven't heard of it.
- Tumbbad - It is a cult movie that went under-appreciated in theatres. The effects and storyline are unique. Watch it.
- Gully Boy - Raw movie. Some may not like it. Lot to absorb and understand, especially the words of the rap songs. Watch it.
- Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya - Haven't heard of it.
- Batla House - Haven't seen it.
- War - Haven't seen it and will not see it. Don't watch it.
- Gold - It is not bad, just alright. Don't watch it.
- Udaan - Another cult movie. Watched it twice. First time didn't get it. Second time too didn't see what the fuss was about. Still watch it.
- Baabul - Haven't heard of it
- Runway 34 - Brilliant movie. Inexplicable flop. Based on a true story. It is NOT a copy or remake of Sully (Hollywood). Watch it.
- Pakkezah - Haven't seen it.
- Sholay - Right up there with DDLJ. Something about the movie just resonates with everyone. Watch it.
- Dil Chahta Hai - One of the most satisfying movies I have ever watched. Better than Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara which was inspired by this. People born in the 90s or 00s may disagree but ask anyone born in 80s or 70s. Watch it.
- Kal Ho Naa Ho - Karan Johar sure knows how to make even men weep and make them smile and laugh too. Watch it.
- Padmaavat - Haven't seen it and won't be seeing it.
- Chak De! India - If you give Gold a skip watch this one. It is the success of this movie that inspired a lot of sports based movies. Watch it.
- Don - SRK one? Haven't seen it and won't be seeing it.
- Ghajini - Haven't seen it.
- Notebook - Isn't this a Hollywood one? That one is atrocious. You need to be a female to like it. Don't watch it. If it is non-Hollywood then I haven't seen it.
Ghajini and dabang craze was next level. Tickets were sold for 1000 plus in black.
