Need Product Review (LG scaLGo)
So, I've been running into some issues with my LG washing machine recently and the SR guy told me to descale the device after 30 runs using LG standard scaLGo powder.
But the thing is he was selling it for Rs 500 while I can see the same being sold at amazon for just Rs 199/-

I'm sure someone from DD must have purchased this product and it would be really helpful if you could let me know about the authenticity of the product being sold online.
Reviews are mixed still I couldn't muster enough courage to trust online product and ended up buying it from the technician offline who came home for repair.

Do not know about online and all.
(Meaning counterfeit or original and same quality as offline).
But using them once in 3-4 months helps.
But first check what kind of issues you are having.
Because also have machines working fine since many many years, without use of such things.
(LG machines itself).
One relative even used an unbranded type (local ine) given to them by a cheat servicibg guy.
It too worked it seems, without damaging the drum or other parts.
(Their's was side loading LG).

All the descalers of all companies sold anywhere, except oem websites are fake.
@kravinder12092 It's recommended and necessary for places with hard water.
I'm damn sure those descalers selling on e-comm websites are fake and may damage your washing machine. It's recommended to purchase it from the official website or brand technicians.

The technician is scamming you. You can buy from the IFB website also instead of online. I don't think descaling will fix any issues other than removing salt stains and deposits in the steel drum. I bought IFB powder from FK and it was literally just salt.

The invoice will be having LG's name, is thr still a possibility of scamming?
22sumit wrote:He will charge you MRP. It's very likely genuine. They make money by selling descaler powders, washing machine stand, softening filters etc etc. so they tend to attribute every problem to descaler so they can make good money. IFB descaler is very well known and cheap. But better buy from the IFB website directly.

thanks for suggesting, will keep in mind to buy IFB ones next time onwards.
You can also try Dettol Washing Machine Cleaner in future if you need.
I Am Using a Fake IFB Descaler From Flipkart... 10 Packets For 200rs... During the Wash Cycle I See Some Dust Particles In Water...In The End Drum Gives Shining Too... I Hoping It Works The Same As Genuine Every Time Because We Can't See Invisible Side Of Drum 🥁... Genuine IFB Packet Is 170Rs Per 1 Packet At Shop...
go for atomic tub cleaner on jiomart or amazon, far better than scalgo, LG support is pathetic, I used my top load machine for 7 years and they were not able to fix the issue, when I saw atomic tub cleaner I was like either this is destroy my machine and I'll be able to buy a new one or this will fix it. Glad it fixed it 😜
