i think 1 ton will be sufficient for 10*12 room.
also consider if your room exposed to direct sunlight.

Brought a Panasonic 1.5-ton 3 star hot and cold AC (offline store ~40k after card discount) few weeks back for a 11*12 room in 2nd floor with north facing wall and open roof with direct sunlight throughout the day. (live in north India where temperature during summers hits close to 40)
Cooling and heating capacity for the ac is around 5100W.nIt works great for my use case, no issues so far.
