Dear Friends, i already own a simple Philips beard trimmer since few years but i want to switch to a multipurpose trimmer.
These are essential requirements for me.
1) trimming at various lengths
2) Can give almost clean shave (like 0 to 0.5mm)
3) Can help for beard styling such as sharp beard lines and neck lines.
4) Other uses such as nose trimming, body grooming etc.. (This is not a must for me)
I liked the Philips QP2525/10 model but it seems the blade requires replacement every 4 or 5 months.
Can you suggest some.

I have bought probably 4-5 Philips trimmer since 2010 to finally realize the best trimmer is the one which runs on both battery and direct power because never have I ever been able to get through a complete trimming before the battery ran out even after storing the trimmers fully charged.

If you are okay with a corded one;
Wahl Chrome Super Taper (possibly made in PRC, with Indian warranty)
OR
the classic (original) Super Taper.
(Depending on use and proper care) https://www.wahlpro.com/super-taper.html is known to have worked for over two decades too. Personally seen this, but that time the plastic combs had better quality and they had a metal part for the clamp on- clamp off action.
Not sure now if the Original Super Taper’s combs are the same.
But being used to lighter, battery operated machines, these might be turn-offish for some.
Other combinations with colour coded combs or beard shaping mold are just fancier versions of the main thing.
Absolute 0.0 mm shave is a very tough one to find.
But since you have exposure to Philips, better stick with a known devil than an unknown one.
(I find it hard to digest that a reasonably top bracket model of theirs needs THAT frequent blade replacements).
Maybe their series 3000 or latter have had some options that offer 0.0 to 0.5mm shavine experience. https://desidime.com/deals/best-deals-on-line-f...
