Kent purifies.

Kaff chimney.
Using for 3 years. No issues at all. Just need to get regular servicing.

It will be helpful, if you mention model and price as well

What is the TDS of input water? If it is below 500 don't go for RO, it will lower the TDS to very lower values like 10-20 ppm, drinking such low TDS water causes essential minerals deficiency

If the source of drinking water in your colony is municipal supply, then TDS may be okay, an Aquaguard type UV filter may suffice. But if the drinking water comes from a borewell, then TDS levels are likely to be higher, you will need an RO filter. Modern RO Filters maintain an appropriate level of TDS in the outlet water.

Your neighbours in the colony may be the best people to recommend based on their experience.

Source of water borewell/municipal pipelines or tankers? Tds meters will be easily available around 200-300 rupees offline/online.

Recent studies shows that mineral (cobalt) less RO water causes B12 deficiency

Borewell water usually contains calcium, sodium in higher levels so you can go for RO. Try looking for brands with better after sales services. I heard that aquaguard, pureit, KENT service isn't that good. Some LG models offers food grade stainless steel  tanks to Store water. BlueStar models offers free prefilter kit and free installation. There are brands which offer 3 modes of water hot, cold, normal water, based on your budget and day-to-day water requirement choose accordingly
