I had a Uninor SIM, which I then ported to Docomo.
After moving, I switched to Airtel, and now I'm with BSNL for calling (My main number, Switched from Airtel), and a Jio SIM(For internet).
I have to keep two sim now because internet is almost zero in BSNL(Using for calling purpose when i am being at my home), and no service/one bar of JIO at my home.
At home, Airtel/BSNL works, while at work, Jio work. Vodafone have issues at my home and workplace both.
As a freelancer, I require more data. Currently, I'm using Jio's 999 rupees plan for 3GB per day for 84 days+181rs per 30GB per month, and BSNL's 147 rupees plan for calls. This totals around 685 rupees per month. Could you suggest an alternative that would allow me to use just one SIM?

It's a HISTORY bro.😂😂
Get any cheap Wi-Fi and use Jio sim with VOWIFI for calling at home. Switch to annual Jio plan 1500 for the year with 24 GB data. With data addons as reqd
With your constraints the only single sim, no Wi-Fi option is getting an Airtel sim
Switch to 5g for unlimited data
5G Unlimited data offer is temporary / limited period (limited locations) bro. Not a permanent solution.
What about Add-On Data Packs? Something like 6 GB for 61₹ I think and cheaper when you go further.
Also mentioned about location because in many competitive circles, AVOID (Airtel VodaIdea), Jio DO offer subsidised rates for new SIMs via retailers or agents.
For example, both Airtel and VI retailers/agents often give the 28days pack with a new SIM for ₹79 INR
which I feel can be used as a burner number (use and throw) or be kept as a disposable number for whenever worthwhile MNP offers come.
Also, I think that the BSNL office issues new SIMs for free or for ₹20 at times (FRC needs to be done separately. But number remains on your name for ninety days even with ANY 'first recharge coupon').
Those can be kept in the inventory and whenever some MNP offer from Airtel, VI, Jio is giving the 28 days pack free, these idle/dormant numbers can be ported IN.. in rotation for getting the data (and calling) packs for free.
In some circles, on some days, the retailers/agents even offer to top-up your number for free or nominal 30-50₹ .. so that the customer can send the port out message.
Thus it is not even necessary to have outgoing on such idle numbers.
Hey guys I want to know that how to get a unused number?
I purchased a new phone and want to put a brand new sim so that I can keep it private
How to check whether a number is recycled or new?
Pls help on this
Port to Idea-Vi ?
It has a annual 2999Rs plan,850GB data -UL calls ,unlimited 4G at night
You need to port in postpaid plan, jio provide unlimited data and call in ₹599+ tax and Vodafone provide same benefit at 701 + tax. I am currently using VI 701 plan and it is workings flawlessly.
